Ashcroft Museum Tour ! B.C Canada
The Ashcroft Museum was originally established in 1936 and is now operated by the Village of Ashcroft. The museum's holdings incorporate the collections of the Cumming family. The museum acquires artifacts, archives, and historical reference material relating to Ashcroft and the south Cariboo area from Spences Bridge to Clinton, including Cache Creek and the Hat Creek Valley
Ashcroft, British Columbia
Ashcroft (2016 population 1,558)[2] is a village in the Thompson Country of the Interior of British Columbia, Canada. It is 30 kilometres (19 mi) downstream from the west end of Kamloops Lake, at the confluence of the Bonaparte and Thompson Rivers, and is in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.
Ashcroft's downtown is on the east side of the Thompson River, although the municipal boundaries straddle the river, with housing and the town's hospital and recreation complex on the west bank. It is something of a twin to nearby Cache Creek , which unlike Ashcroft is on the major highway.

Ashcroft BC & The Chinese Cemetary
If you've driven down Highway 97, you've passed right by the community of Ashcroft. I had never visited - until our recent road trip.
In 30+ degree weather this past summer, Dan took a walk around this desert town to see what he could find. It got him thinking about BC's history, and the path towards reconiliation.

How B.C.'s museum wants to modernize its history
Modernizing the history of B.C.'s museum is being taken into consideration. While some of the discussion surrounds simple structural issues, there's also talk of changing how the museum tells the stories of all of B.C.'s communities.

Video of massive Ashcroft BC 7/7/2017 wildfire, up close! Non-rock edit
Re-edit for colour and music. This tune is about a herd of wild mares that run away from a stallion. Much more ranch like.
Please find local places if possible to send help or aid if you can.
.
We were on our way down the Fraser canyon to coast and had to take a detour when temps reached 155f and the risk of fire, melted BMW or Ducati and frightened fleeing animals on road became a concern.
The truck driver had said there were flames where his truck was but we only saw dense white smoke and a lot of airborne embers.
It was after 12:30pm and no local emergency crews had arrived yet to start fighting the fire but the public was responding and a BC Hydro worker..
It was a scorching week of 125-135f dry heat and it takes only a spark or overheated brake to cause the evacuation of a village and the loss of several homes. We decided to head as far towards fire to report back if the road was worse than thought and stopped when we saw a white 18 wheeler trailer stopped dead in the road. The driver was safely out of the truck when I returned to tell public warning drivers.

Fulford Place Museum, Brockville, Ontario | WPBS Short Flix
“Pink Pills for Pale People” helped construct this grand mansion. The Fulford Place Mansion in Brockville, Ontario, was built in 1901 for Senator George T. Fulford. Fulford made his fortune selling “pink pills for pale people” and at one time, was the richest man on the river. He was one of the first people to use testimonials in advertising, which became a very successful technique.
The stone for the mansion came from a quarry at Gouverneur, New York, just across the border. Inside, the house features intricately carved woodwork, all fashioned by hand.
In 1905, George Fulford became the first Canadian ever, to die in an automobile accident. His son, George the second, was only three years old at the time. George the second died in 1987. George the second donated the house to the Ontario Heritage Foundation, and his son, George the third, donated all the contents of the house.
Today, this 35-room mansion is owned and operated by the Ontario Heritage Trust and is open for tours. Original furniture, china, silverware, paintings and more are showcased throughout the house. When you come to visit, you’ll see what this house was like in 1901.
