Ashdod Yam is an archaeological site founded on the Iron Age Mediterranean coast remains stored on the rectangular fortress walls. Fortress size was 60 feet by 40 feet. Citadel corners were rounded and square towers. Gravel were quarried stone wall.

Tel Ashdod - The Inland city of Ashdod was founded in the 17th century BC along the ancient Via Maris road from Egypt to Syria and Mesopotamia. Its port city - Ashdod Maritime - was established a decade later on the banks of the Lachish river.It was for 600 years a Philistine city, and the Bible has many references to the city. Ashdod is first described by the the Israelites as a city of giants or Anakim, which the Israelites could not conquer (Joshua 11, 22). After the Assyrian conquest in 701 BC, the focus was shifted to the new city along the coast, thus degrading the economic and political importance of the inland Ashdod. During the Ottoman period a small village of Esdud occupied the site. Today there are few visible remains on the site, except for several buildings of the Arab village Esdud.

Few hours ago, #Hamas fired 5 rockets at at #Israel while aiming at #Jerusalem ( a place which the Palestinians claim is sacred for them..)! 1 of those rockets reached out to a #Palestinian village which is inside the Palestinian Authority borders.
In the background you can hear the Red Alert siren which alert the people near by that a rocket will be coming soon.

The Israelites went to war with the Philistines and lost, they also lost The Ark of the Covenant.
And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod. 2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. 3 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. Ashdod is having issues, their god Dragon fell and lost his head and hands. He is now a stump?
But the hand of the Lord was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof. 7 And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god. 8 They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. 1 Sam 5:6-8 (KJV)
Ashdod didn’t fare too well, their god Dragon got trashed and now all the men have a severe cast of hemorrhoids?
