World War II hero honored in Ashland KDRV.flv

ASHLAND, Ore., -- Friends and family gathered in Ashland to honor and remember the life and service of a World War II hero.
In his decades of service, Colonel Christian P. Hald served in the Oregon National Guard.
Hald also served in the Army in World War II and was involved in missions in Italy.
He received a number of awards, including two silver stars.
Friends say he took his military service very seriously but when off duty was a fun-loving guy who kept his friends laughing.

The Wisconsin Historical Museum is putting on its first outdoors walking tour, which starts Tuesday.
It's called the Hidden History of the Capitol Square.

The first broadcast of True North TV 25 out of Ashland, Wi on December 15th, 2005. The station was Northern Wisconsin's first and only tv station dedicated to them. The last show aired on May 1st, 2006. The next day, Julie Moravchik, General Manager/News Director, was fired on false allegations and on May 3rd, 2006, 10 of the 12 remaining crew were let go after signing a petition to reinstate Ms. Moravchik. That news team reassembled and created KQDS FOX 21 News in Duluth, Minnesota. fox21online.com
The History of Deer Hunting in Wisconsin
This is a brief summary of deer hunting in the state of Wisconsin. This was a school project in our word processing class. This is starring Ashne(the white-tailed deer), Jaylynn (the hunter), and Erin (The dramatic movie voice narrator and various characters). This was very fun to create.
Ashland Railway E of Pavonia, Ohio
An Ashland Railway train heads east near the town of Pavonia as it heads for its namesake city to work various customers. This portion of the Ashland Railway between Mansfield and West Salem was once part of the double track Erie mainline between Jersey City and Chicago.
The GP38 was originally built in 1969 for the Monongahela Railway.
