Andy's National Trust Travel Blogs: Snowshill Manor, near Stow-on-the-Wold
There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the important stuff relative to accessibility.
Snowshill Manor is in the cotswolds, and from the start mobility was challenged. Because this was late in the day, there were no disabled bays. Then I got stuck in the gravel. I discovered there was no ramps and access to the house limited.

It was commissioned by Mary and Louis Behrend as a memorial to Mary's brother, Lieutenant Henry Willoughby Sandham who died at the end of the First World War.
The chapel is surrounded by lawns and orchards, with views of Watership Down.

There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the important stuff relative to accessibility.
Lanhydrock is unquestionably one of the most impressive (and popular) historic houses in Cornwall. Built of local grey slate and granite around an inner courtyard, the house dates to 1640, though most of the current building was the result of rebuilding after a fire in 1881.

Andy's National Trust Travel Blogs: Aberdulais Tin Mine and Waterfall, South Wales
There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the important stuff relative to accessibility.
In this episode I went over the border into Wales to visit an old tin mine called Aberdulais. It was fully accessible with lifts and ramps, however doing it alone was very difficult. Luckily, I had a young helper and I got chatting to his Dad, an avid youtuber too.

In this episode I go to see a hamlet of 9 buildings in the Henbury area of Bristol. While you can't go inside the buildings there's a green where you can walk and admire them; except for one small problem. Watch this video and find out.
Andy's National Trust Travel Blogs: Thomas Hardy's Cottage, Dorchester
Hardy's Cottage is a beautiful secluded place to visit if you are following the Thomas Hardy Trail through Dorset. The cottage, just outside Higher Bockhapmton, was built by Hardy's great-grandfather in 1800 and little has been altered externally since then.
It is a popular place for tourists to visit and see where Hardy wrote Under the Greenwood Tree and Far from the Madding Crowd.
The cottage is traditionally built from cob and the thatched roof is a wonderful backdrop to the roses, honeysuckle and japonica that climb the walls. Catch the cottage on a sunny Summers day and you won't find a prettier place in Dorset to spend a couple of hours.
The cottage stands at the top of the hill off Cuckoo Lane in Higher Bockhampton and behind it stretches Egdon Heath, which Hardy wrote of in 'The Return of the Native'. Take your walking shoes and enjoy a walk through the woods and beyond into Puddletown Forest.

Motability Roadshow, Exeter, 15 July 2017
Saturday, I took an 85 mile trip to Exeter and visited the event to which I was invited.
The main point is to see and try out cars you might want to get with the allowance, either DLA or the new PIP.
I had a good look but nothing really took my fancy and there were no Segway chairs!

Andy's National Trust Travel Blogs: Dyffyrn Gardens, South Wales
There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the important stuff relative to accessibility.
In this episode I go to South Wales to visit a garden and house called Dyffyrn, although I had no idea how to pronounce it. It is a house fully accessible although the lift was out of order I assume it will be fixed at some point giving access to the upper floor.
The garden too, is pretty good with really good paths. This was probably the best place for access i have been to visit.

Andy's National Trust Travel Blogs: The Vyne, near Basingstoke
There are 500+ places of interest in the UK under the National Trust banner and I will be attempting to visit as many as I can, reporting as I do all the important stuff relative to accessibility.
The Vyne is a Tudor manor house associated with King Henry 8th and other prominent figures in history
Located near Basingstoke, it is a large estate and house, which is under repair until the end of 2017.
In my tour around the house, I was confronted in public, being told to stop filming (but stills are ok) after a staff member chatted to me regarding the GoPro and equipment, but did not just tell me - instead of going off and reporting me. Even reception made no mention of it.
The saving grace was the roof top view.

Days Out Travel Blog: Longleat Safari drive through
Safari - so goody!
Longleat drive through park, which has a pitsop area, african village, encouraging you to partake in animal feeding and displays plus of course, purchasing gifts and food.
The safari features many animals, the most famous being the Lions.
Once you commence the journey there isn't a short cut out and depending on traffic, can last an hour or two.
It's good if you've not been, as lots of the animals are close, including feeding the deer and interaction with monkeys as they destroy your car.
