Broadway is a large village and civil parish within the Cotswolds, located in the county of Worcestershire, England. Broadway is situated in the far southeast of Worcestershire and very close to the Gloucestershire border, midway between the towns of Evesham and Moreton-in-Marsh.
Often referred to as the Jewel of the Cotswolds, Broadway village lies beneath Fish Hill on the western Cotswold escarpment. The broad way is the wide grass-fringed main street, centred on the Green, which is lined with red chestnut trees and honey-coloured Cotswold limestone buildings, many dating from the 16th century.
Broadway is known for its association with the Arts and Crafts movement, and is situated in an area of outstanding scenery and conservation. The wide High Street is lined with a wide variety of shops and cafes, many housed in listed buildings. The village is overlooked by Broadway Hill, the highest point in the northern Cotswolds at 1,024 ft (312 m) above sea level, which is popular with hill walkers.
Today, Broadway is a centre for arts and antiques and serves as a natural base from which to explore the Cotswolds or see the horse racing during the busy Cheltenham Gold Cup week. Tourism is important – the village is well-served with hotels, including the Broadway Hotel, Russell's a restaurant with rooms, the 1600s Cotswold inn the Lygon Arms, a caravan site, holiday cottages, bed and breakfast lodges, old pubs including the Swan Inn and Crown & Trumpet, shops, restaurants and tea rooms.
Local attractions include the Gordon Russell Museum (celebrating the work of the 20th-century furniture maker Sir Gordon Russell MC), the Ashmolean Museum Broadway displaying objects from the 17th to the 21st centuries in 'Tudor House' a former 17th-century coaching inn, the 65-foot (20 m) high Broadway Tower on its hilltop site in the Broadway Country Park, Chipping Campden, Snowshill village, Snowshill Manor (owned by the National Trust), horse riding and, for the many ramblers, the Cotswold Way.
Broadway was once served by a railway line, a relative latecomer in British railway history, opened in 1904 by the Great Western Railway and running from Stratford-upon-Avon to Cheltenham, part of a main line from Birmingham to the South West and South Wales. Broadway railway station along with almost all others on this section closed in 1960. Thus, although Broadway has a railway station site and a Station Road, it is no longer served by National Rail services. The nearest railway stations are Evesham, Honeybourne and Moreton-in-Marsh, on the main line train service running between Hereford and London Paddington station and on the Cotswold Line between Oxford and Worcester.

The Ashmolean Museum on Beaumont Street, Oxford, England, is the world's first university museum. Ashmolean Museum first building was erected in 1678–1683 to house the cabinet of curiosities that Elias Ashmole gave to the University of Oxford in 1677.
Ashmolean Museum reopened in 2009 after a major redevelopment. In November 2011, new galleries focusing on Egypt and Nubia were also unveiled. In May 2016, Ashmolean Museum opened new galleries of 19th-century art.
In 2013 a museum was opened in the 17th-century Tudor House at Broadway, Worcestershire, in the Cotswolds, in partnership with the Ashmolean Museum. In 2017 the museum became known as the Broadway Museum and Art Gallery. The collection includes paintings and furniture from the founding collections of the Ashmolean Museum, given by Elias Ashmole to the University of Oxford in 1683, and local exhibits expand upon elements of the timeline of the village.

Cai Yuan & Jian Jun Xi, Scream, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 2013
Inspired by the Norwegian artist's most famous painting, Cai Yuan and JJ Xi invited volunteers to take part in a performance of their own interpretation of 'The Scream', filmed in 2005 on the very bridge in Norway where Edvard Munch received his idea back in 1893.
Cai & Xi, who gained international fame as the artists' duo 'Mad for Real' by jumping naked on Tracey Emin's bed, went on to perform 'The Scream' for the first time as a public intervention at Tate Modern and on the Millennium Bridge, London in 2012.
The two Chinese artists see their interpretation of 'The Scream' as an expression of human existence -- of reality, spirituality and humanity: ...a revolution exploding in the depths of your soul.
The 'Scream' series of performances is supported by the Office of Contemporary Chinese Art (occa-art.com), China Live Art (chinaliveart.com) and the artists' network Artbetween (artbetween.org)
Mad For Real (Cai Yuan and Jian Jun Xi)'s oeuvre has continually questioned the relationship of power to the individual. Using a position of resistance Cai and Xi have consistently produced work which is necessarily oppositional yet the warmth and humour of their work also acts to draw viewers in. Their performances have taken place as radical gestures calling to mind notorious artists of earlier radical art movements but the historical, linguistic and political context of their practice is often related specifically to their origins: China.

Conservation at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum
As one of few surviving pieces of infrastructure of the World Trade Center following the 2001 terrorist attacks, the slurry wall prevented further destruction and flooding of the area. Today, it is memorialized as an enduring symbol strength in the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. In 2019, CyArk documented the slurry wall to support the museum's conservation of the structure.
