Taiwan Drone Flight: Taiwan, 180km east of China, is known for modern cities, traditional Chinese temples, hot springs resorts and dramatic mountainous terrain. Taipei, in the north, has a number of busy night markets, as well as Chinese Imperial art at the National Palace Museum. Taipei 101, a 509m-tall, bamboo-shaped skyscraper with an observation deck, rises above the city. // Japan is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean with dense cities, imperial palaces, mountainous national parks and thousands of shrines and temples. July 18, 2018 - In celebration of the 60th anniversary of artist Lee Ungno's arrival in Paris, the Korea Society welcomes you to enjoy the art exhibition of the Korean-born French artist who combined the abstract tendencies of the Art Informel movement with traditional forms of Korean art. Robert C. Morgan discusses Lee's work and the artist's influence on Asian contemporary art.
Lee Ungno (1904-1989) was among the most influential Asian contemporary painters of the twentieth century. Driven by a yearning for peace and unity amidst times of tumultuous violence, Lee conceived a contemporary form of art unique to Korean culture and history. As a member of the Parisian avant-garde, Lee introduced modern abstract art practices to the traditional forms of Korean art, creating a new style of contemporary painting tempered with Eastern ideologies. Deeply impassioned by the social movements of democratization in 1980s Korea, Lee’s “People” series aspired to illustrate the movement of the masses and their united march towards peace. His works from 1980 to his death in 1989 emphasize this recurring theme, with the image of crowds becoming a symbol of the rise of Korean people and democracy.

Hello I'm zzombi, really like traveling!
Last Friday, I visited Daejeon from Seoul station.
Daejeon is one of big cities in South Korea, and you can go there easily from Seoul. You can use subway train inside Daejeon as well, so it's very convenient to trip around the city.
I recommend this one-day trip to travelers and residents of Seoul.
If you like enjoying good food and drink, you will love this city.
- Sung-Sim-Dang : The most famous bakery in South Korea
- Daedong Mural Village : A beautiful small village
- Daedong Sky Park : A peaceful place to view the scenery of Daejeon city
- Yuseong Hot Spring Sauna : Korean style dry sauna & public bath with hot spring water. (※caution : Korean style sauna can embarrass you guys if you don't know well about public bath.)
The War Memorial of Korea - Things to Do in South Korea
The War Memorial of Korea was established to remember the Korean War and to symbolize the desire for peaceful reunification of Korea.
The museum consists of 6 individual exhibition halls housing more than 10,000 artifacts in the indoor and outdoor exhibition areas. It took me about 3 hours to explore the whole place – but looking back now, I feel I could and should have spent more time there to take more of it in.
The first floor exhibition hall features a history of war from prehistoric times up to the Korean War. Military remains, relics, and documents are on display as well. Among them are fortress models, war & victory records, ammunition, the Turtle Ship (and other military vessels from the Joseon Dynasty).
The Korean War Memorial also features information and artifacts from the Vietnam War and the implication of Korean dispatch to Vietnam, what the Korean troops were mainly engaged in during the Vietnam War, and tactics of the Viet Cong, The Gulf War, and others.
The Outdoor Exhibition is impressively large. The lot is covered with vehicles used World War II, the Vietnam War, and of course, the Korean War. I walked through rows upon rows of tanks, field artillery, air craft, armored cars, guns, warships and submarines.
With tensions rising so rapidly in the Korean Peninsula, I thought it was a good idea to visit the War Memorial of Korea - which I hope will never have to expand.

Pope beatifies South Korea's Catholic martyrs
Pope Francis has beatified 124 Christian martyrs in the South Korean capital, and challenged Christians on the values they may be willing to die for in an increasingly materialistic and globalised world. The Pope who's on a five day tour of South Korea, payed homage the 124 Koreans who refused to renounce Christianity in the 18th and 19th centuries. Francis said the martyrs' courage, charity and their rejection of the rigid social structures of their day were an inspiration for people today. Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett reports from Seoul.

Gyeongju Drone Flight: Gyeongju is a city on South Koreas southeast coast. It was the capital of the 1,000-year-long Silla dynasty, and is known for its extensive historical remains. The 8th-century Bulguksa Temple features twin stone pagodas, a series of wooden staircases and a large bronze Buddha. Nearby, Seokguram Grotto houses a towering seated Buddha and offers panoramic views of the sun rising over the Sea of Japan. Gyeongju National Museum houses thousands of Silla artifacts, including gold crowns from the royal tombs and a massive bronze bell. The cylindrical Cheomseongdae is a 7th-century astronomical observatory made of granite. The 7th-century Bunhwangsa pagoda is guarded by 4 stone lions and adorned with granite lotus blossoms. Near the ruined Silla royal palace of Banwolseong lies Anapji, a pond with island pavilions illuminated at night. South of the city, Namsan mountain has hiking trails and rock formations as well as hundreds of temples and statues. [wikipedia // Google]
