Varanasi is very nice and beautiful city to visit in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. Varanasi has many great Ghats like Assi Ghat / Dashashwamedh Ghat / Manmandir Ghat / Manikarnika Ghat / Shivala Ghat / Harishchandra Ghat / Tuls Ghat / Scindia Ghat / Darbhanga Ghat among many others. Also Varanasi is a city of religious importance with many good temples like Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Durga Mandir (Monkey Temple) and Alamgir Mosque. Some other important places are the mighty Ramnagar Fort & Museum, Gyan Vapi Well and Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum. You can also go to Sarnath to witness the strong and tall Dhamek Stupa and Chaukhandi Stupas. If you have time then tourists can also visit Nepali Mandir, Gyanvapi Mosque, Golden Temple, Deer Park, Bharat Mata Mandir and Tibetan Temple.Varanasi is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh dating to the 11th century B.C. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Along the city's winding streets are some 2,000 temples, including Kashi Vishwanath, the “Golden Temple,” dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.

Assi Ghat, Varanasi, India (अस्सी घाट)
Assi Ghat is the southernmost ghat in Varanasi. To most visitors to Varanasi, it is known for being a place where long-term foreign students, researchers, and tourists live. Assi Ghat is one of the ghats often visited for recreation and during festivals. On typical days about 300 people visit every hour in the mornings, and on festival days 2500 people arrive per hour. Most of the people visiting the ghat on usual days are students from the nearby Banaras Hindu University. The ghat accommodates about 22,500 people at once during festivals like Shivratri.[3]
There are a lot of activities for tourists to engage in at the ghat. Visitors can go for boat rides, go up in a hot-air balloon for an aerial view of Assi ghat, enjoy the daily talent show in the evening or eat at one of the many restaurants and cafes in the area.

Hindus believe that it was at Assi Ghat that Tulsidas left for his heavenly abode.
After the 2010 Varanasi bombing the city commissioned extra police to the Assi Ghat neighborhood in order to more quickly resolve problems which tourists might have.[4]

Varanasi is a sacred and oldest city of the world located at the banks of the holy River Gange. Where, Gange aarti is performed daily in the evening by a group of priests at the Dashashwamedh ghat. Through the aarti, Agni Pooja is performed in which a commitment is made to the Lord Shiva, Mata Gange, Surya, Agni (Fire) as well as the whole universe made by the Lord Shiva. On some special occasions, religious festivals and second day of the week means Tuesdays, a particular type of aarti is held at this ghat.
Gange aarti is the magnificent event during evening in the Varanasi that one must not miss to see it. It makes us to experience the great feelings while Gange aarti become in process. This beautiful ritual makes every moment of the evening period special and fills with the spiritual thoughts. It is performed by the brass lamps which accompanied with the mantra chant in the presence of the huge crowd.

Early in the morning, you will be taken for the programme 'Subah-e-Banaras'. It begins with a one-hour Yoga session at 5.00 AM.
