Incredible, once in a lifetime experience. Amazing atmosphere from start to finish. I got picked up around 3am which was totally worth it! Even the drive to the launch site is atmospheric as it is dark with no one around however there are lots of trucks driving with balloons on the back!
Beautiful landscape, different heights to give different view points and perceptions. Definitely a bucket list experience! I did the balloon ride with Asiana Balloons.

Documenting a hot air balloon ride I took on Friday morning, October 18 2019.
My sister Kelly and I flew with Balloon Quest, Inc. Capt. Phogg Balloon Rides at 2470 Grange Hall Rd,. Fenton, Michigan. Captain Eric was our pilot.
This is the fourteenth video in this series. Now landing. I say Bzzzt! and startle my sister as we go over the power lines just before touchdown. I also say Neh! when I see the envelope lightly touching a nearby tree. No damage was done here.
I saw that the landing was going well enough to permit continued recording through touchdown. That's what happens when you fly in good weather for ballooning, which has minimal but not zero wind at the ground, and why passengers should trust the pilot's decision not to fly on bad weather days.
Total time in the air was about 42 minutes and 20 seconds.

Cappadocia ( /kæpəˈdoʊʃə/; also Capadocia; Turkish Kapadokya, from Greek: Καππαδοκία / Kappadokía, Persian: کاپادوکیه Kāpādōkiyeh) is a historical region in Central Anatolia, largely in Nevşehir Province.
In the time of Herodotus, the Cappadocians were reported as occupying the whole region from Mount Taurus to the vicinity of the Euxine (Black Sea). Cappadocia, in this sense, was bounded in the south by the chain of the Taurus Mountains that separate it from Cilicia, to the east by the upper Euphrates and the Armenian Highland, to the north by Pontus, and to the west by Lycaonia and eastern Galatia.[1]
The name was traditionally used in Christian sources throughout history and is still widely used as an international tourism concept to define a region of exceptional natural wonders, in particular characterized by fairy chimneys and a unique historical and cultural heritage. The term, as used in tourism, roughly corresponds to present-day Nevşehir Province. In pre-Hellenistic times, Persians, Hittites Assyrians and Greeks all lived in Cappodocia. All of these groups were Hellenised in the era of the Greek city-states. During the Middle Ages, after the settlement of Armenians in the Cappadocian theme during the Byzantine era, numerous Turkish tribes invaded the region, which was subsequently settled by them. Since 1915-1922 Turkish people constitute the vast majority of the population of this region.

Turkey - From Istanbul's otogar (that's bus station to English speakers), I boarded an overnight coach, arriving in Cappadocia at the crack of dawn. in the town of Göreme. People have been carving homes into the rocks of this surreal landscape for ages. And what did I do after a night on a bus without sleep, but go hiking for hours. I walked the Rose Valley to Çavusin, catching a dolmus back. The next day, I tramped the Pigeon Valley (devoid of pigeons) to the castle-like Uçhsar. A busy day next. A plunge into the depths of Derinkuyu, the underground city, which once housed thousands. Then a stroll through the Ilhara Gorge, with monasteries carved into the cliff sides. Finally, ascending the heights of Selime Monastery. Back to another otogar to depart as I arrived. On another overnight coach. The musical accompaniment is Menouthis by E. S. Two Brazilian tourists were killed and 23 were injured when two hot air balloons collided mid-air during a sightseeing tour in Turkey on Monday. It was reported that a hot air balloon carrying 25 tourists was flying above the scenic canyons and volcanic cones of the Cappadocia region. That balloon struck another balloon's wicker basket when it was ascending. The strike caused a tear in the ascending balloon and it plunged to the ground.
The passengers on board the crashed balloon were mostly tourists from Asia, Spain and Brazil.
It was the second fatal accident in Cappadocia since balloon sightseeing tours were launched in the area more than a decade ago.
