Assiniboine Forest 2015
A cool autumn morning walk under a partly cloudy sky in the Assiniboine Forest in southwest Winnipeg, Manitoba. There are numerous trails through the forest with a few markers along the various paths. Intersecting paths are marked with maps, but there are also a few small painted markers on tree branches to tell you which path you are on. Our walk was mostly on the pink and green trails, though the light blue and yellow do align with them in places.

The Assiniboine Forest in Winnipeg Manitoba is one of the largest urban nature parks in Canada. This video is a follow up to my previous video The Assiniboine Forest: An Urban Oasis and was also shot and edited on an iPhone 5.

One of my most frequent spots to enjoy in Winnipeg. Assiniboine forest is so peaceful, and has tons of trails and walking paths to enjoy for hours! ???? @mindseylorris, Kobe ???? and I have spent countless hours walking and chatting through here, and I highly suggest checking it out if you have a dog!

We hike through Assiniboine Forest in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
There are lots of trails and off-trails, a pond, and some make-shift teepee's. We were so tired by the end and Mom had to carry me on her back for a bit because my shoes were cutting into my ankles. But we made it back to the start.

Assiniboine Park (formerly known as City Park) is a park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Winnipeg Public Parks Board was formed in 1893, and purchased the initial land for the park in 1904. Although in use before then, the park officially opened in 1909, and is located north of the Assiniboine Forest, along the Assiniboine River. It is named for the Assiniboine people. The park covers 1,100 acres, of which 400 acres are designed in the English landscape style.

Assiniboine Zoo on Canada Day - 2018
Here are just some of the attractions at the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg. The Journey to Churchill exhibit is just amazing, and the glass tunnel where you can see the polar bears swimming is just awe inspiring and really gives you the sense of just how majestic and grand these creatures are. The zoo had extended hours, giveaways and the mascots roaming around for Canada Day. Then it was off to the Canada Day events at the rest of the park.
