The Milky Way: A River of Stars
When I think of the Milky Way galaxy I think of the River Nile. Ancient Egyptians looked up and down and reasoned that the Nile was the earthly reflection of what we can see of our galactic central point. Solar System Formation - Chakras of The Nile -
The Light Surrounds us - 4K Astro Time-lapse
Shot in West Sussex, South England, these time-lapse videos combine the light in our atmosphere with the light that has travelled through space from the billions of stars all around us. The time-lapse videos are showing approximately 8 minutes and 36 seconds of real time in one second of video.
As the Earth moves and rotates around the sun, we see the stars move slowly across our skies. Using a digital camera this can be recorded as ‘Star-Trails’, where the starlight leaves a white line across the sky. When the camera is aimed at the ‘North Star’, the star that is on the axis of the Earth’s rotation, the stars around it become circles or arcs.
Some of the time-lapse videos also show the ‘Milky Way’, the centre of our galaxy. Made from gas, dust, 200-400 billion stars and at least 100 billion planets, this glowing mass looks faint and cloud like to the naked eye, however using long exposures to capture the light, it can be seen very clearly in our sky.
On the 28 September 2015, there was a rare event of a Super-moon Lunar Eclipse, this is when the moon is full at its closest position to Earth during its phases. At the same time there is a full Lunar Eclipse, where the moon goes behind the shadow of the Earth. The light from the sun refracts around the Earth’s atmosphere illuminating the moon in red light. This event took 3 hours 30 minutes, and it is put into a 20 second time-lapse at the end of this video.
We are truly surrounded by light.

Timelapse of stars over roof top
Timelapse of stars in the northern hemisphere in winter. Polar star in center. The photography session ended with over 400 night photos taken during over 2 hours that I have compiled to this startrail movie.
Unexplained spooky objects caught in time lapse video, plus a shooting star and satellites
Detail is best seen in full screen, be sure to watch out for the humanoid silhouettes in the area just about where the object is seen just after it is gone, these are playing on my mind as i was camping on an small island at the time, you would have needed a torch to get from where i was sleeping to here without breaking your neck tripping over tree roots, we were both in bed at this point!
I set my gopro away on a few different nights running night lapse capture of the sky, imagine my surprise to see a mystery object at around the 12-13 second mark, in the footage what also looks like a figure is seen again only for a single frame or two just after the object, then the shooting star.
What do you think it is? I want to say an insect jumping through the frame and just getting caught, but why so bright??, In the enlarged image at the end it seems very defined, let me know what you think below in the comments, what about the silhouettes??
THE MARS UNDERGROUND [HD] Full Movie
The Mars Underground Updated Edition/Director's Cut
Leading aerospace engineer and Mars Society President Dr. Robert Zubrin has a dream. He wants to get humans to the planet Mars in the next ten years.
Now, with the advent of a revolutionary plan, Mars Direct, Zubrin shows how we can use present day technology and natural resources on Mars to make human settlement possible. But can he win over the skeptics at NASA and the wider world?
The Mars Underground is a landmark documentary that follows Zubrin and his team as they try to bring this incredible dream to life. Through spellbinding animation, the film takes us on a daring first journey to the Red Planet and envisions a future Mars teeming with life and terraformed into a blue world.
A must-see experience for anyone concerned for our global future and the triumph of the human spirit.
This film captures the spirit of Mars pioneers who refuse to let their dreams be put on hold by a slumbering space program. Their passionate urge to walk the soil of an alien world is infectious and inspirational. This film is the manifesto of the new space revolution. James Cameron - Director of Avatar

ASTRONAUT:
Accessing disconnect. Enable on. Copy that E.L. Com. All systems are go for entry, decent, and landing. Stand by. Stand by.
ASTRONAUT:
We are looking fine, flight. Data is good.
NARRATOR:
At the dawn of the 21st Century, space agencies in Europe and
America began making plans to land the first humans on Mars.
But manned missions to the red planet have been proposed before.
For some, Mars holds the answers to mankind’s future in space.
Others say Mars is too far, too dangerous and too expensive for
humans to explore.
And in a world torn by troubles, some say there is no need or will
for mankind to reach into space anymore.
More than 30 years after the last Apollo astronaut walked on the
moon, the American-manned space program seems to have lost its
way, unable to reach beyond even low-earth orbit.
DR. ROBERT ZUBRIN:
We’ve got a problem, NASA has been literally going around in
circles with the space program for the past 30 years.
NARRATOR:
Astronautically engineer, Dr. Robert Zubrin, has been arguing for
years that sending humans to Mars is the mission the space
program needs.
ZUBRIN:
It’s time that we set goals for NASA that were worthy of the risks
of the human space flight. Mars is the next logical step in our space
program image. It’s the challenge that’s been staring us in the face
for the past 30 years. It’s the planet that’s most like the earth, it’s
the planet that has on it the resources needed to support life and
therefore some day technological civilization. It’s the planet that
will provide us with the answer as to whether life is prevalent in
the universe or exclusive to the earth.
And it’s the planet that will give us the critical tests as to whether
humanity, can breakout out of the planet of our birth and become a
space-faring species.
NARRATOR:
In the early 1990s, Zubrin was the head of the Mars Direct
program at Martin Marietta Astronautics. His team developed a
mission to Mars that could be done at the fraction of Nasa’s
projected costs.
Using only existing technology Zubrin argues that the first steps on
Martian soil could be made within 10 years.
ZUBRIN:
There is absolutely nothing in this that is beyond our technology.
DR. EDWARD WEILER:
We are not ready to send humans to Mars right now. We don’t
know how to keep them alive. There are people out there who say
we can go to Mars tomorrow. One of my requirements, one of
NASA’s requirements is that if we send humans to Mars we bring
them back alive.
NARRATOR:
For the past 15-years Zubrin and his colleagues have waged a
campaign to convince society and the political class that humans
on Mars should be the goal for NASA now.
This is the story of our cold neighboring planet and the debate over
whether man’s fate it tied to the red world. It’s the story of an
engineer’s journey - and the battle of ideas over which direction in
space will truly benefit mankind.
ZUBRIN:
We’re at a crossroads today. We either muster the courage to go or
we risk the possibility of stagnation and decay.
Take me to Prague (GoPro Perspective)
Prague is a destination that always seems to be in vogue. It’s been on the tourist map for a long time, and the crowds show no signs of abating.
Prague is a gorgeous destination to travel, well-preserved medieval city coupled with a rich history, expansive parks, Vegas-style nightlife, and a hint of romance. The city holds a special place in a lot of people's heart, and I was so looking forward to visit this beautiful city and capture each corner in it with my camera.
The fairy tale-like charm, Baroque architecture, cheap pilsners, farmers' markets, art galleries and so much more – what’s not to love about Prague? If you want to travel to Europe but are tight on cash, consider visiting the capital of the Czech Republic. The walkable streets, a straightforward public transit system and prevalent English speakers make navigating this city easy, especially for a first-timer. I was able to see and do so many worthwhile things.
How to wander in Prague with low cost, saving your energy and at the same time visiting all the remarks?
Renting an Electric Bikes is one of the most efficient ways to wander all Prague in 2-4 hours with less energy.
What to see in Prague? (MUST VISIT places)
Our first 2 days in Prague were to spend doing one thing and one thing only: seeing and doing as much as we possibly could. With a long bucket list of places to see in Prague, we decided to rent electric bikes to save the time taken in transportation and to save our energy for such a long day, during our bike trip we visited best 6 places below:
1. Charles Bridge
Prague’s most iconic bridge is an essential first stop for any first timer; but the bikes were not allowed on the ridge, so we parked them down and we had a walk on Charles bridge and enjoy the amazing view up there.
2. St. Vitus Cathedral
Another city icon – St Vitus Cathedral is a favorite for many visitors to Prague due to it's unique baroque architecture. The Cathedral looks particularly lust-worthy in the evenings when it lights the sky.
3. John Lennon Wall
Toward the end of Communism in the 1980s, students started writing John Lennon lyrics on this wall as a way to air their grievances. Today, the wall represents love and peace. Tourists are allowed to write or paint on it too.
4. Walk around Petrín Park
Petrín Park is the city’s biggest and most beautiful park, with sweeping views of Prague. You’ll find a garden, a maze, and a lookout tower that looks like the Eiffel Tower. What I love about this expansive park is how easy it is to get lost among the trees. Paths meander throughout, and it’s a relaxing contrast to the crowds of the historic center. Keep in mind that this park is on a big hill and view from up there or the whole city is really amazing.
5. Explore the Old Town Square
The people-watching is unbeatable as tourists, families, students, and touts pass through the square. Sit on one of the benches, eat a sandwich, and enjoy! Moreover, there are a number of talented musicians, ranging from jazz musicians to Scottish bagpipe players, and everything in between, that perform in the square.
6. Astronomical Clock
Perhaps the most conspicuous structure of the Old Town, the Astronomical Clock of the Town Hall draws crowds at the end of every single hour for a performance that is best described as insipid. The excitement leading to the display, however, is noteworthy considering the hundreds of cameras and eyes that are tenaciously focused on the gigantic clock for a 45 second drama, which I must add, is replete with deep symbolism.
