It is located within the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, one of the major European metropolitan areas, and with more than ten million inhabitants, the largest in Germany. Cologne is about 45 km southwest of North Rhine-Westphalia's capital of Dusseldorf and 25 km northwest of Bonn.
Cologne is located on both sides of the Rhine River, near Germany's borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. Who doesn't like a nice cold beer? I sure do! Check out this brewery that's located in down-town Roswell, GA. You will absolutely love it!

Aside from being a foodie, I love a nice, cold beer on a hot sunny day or any day for that matter. Which is why I decided to check out Gate City Brewery!
Gate City Brewery is located in down-town Roswell, Ga off of Magnolia St. You can find free street-parking around down-town area and $5 parking on Canton St.
When you approach the Brewery you will find a small building and a big building. The small building is used to host private events/corporate parties and the big building is the actual brewing space. First floor is the bar area with tables, lounge couches and all the fun. The second floor is the brewing factory, Gate City host tours of their factory just make sure to make a reservation in advance. You can check the pricing on the website
Outside is a wide open-space area with wooden picnic tables. It was definitely a friendly and comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy hanging out. The Brewery is also pet friendly, so you will definitely see a lot of 4 legged friends walking around wagging their tales. After 5 pm, on Thursdays there is usually a taco truck or some kind of a food tent that will take care of your beer munchies! The building has 4 huge see-through garage doors that open up on hot days making it easy to walk in and out, and on cold days they allow a lot of natural light inside.
Once you walk in, there is a long bar with lots of beer choices. Industrial style wooden tables, where the metal and wood combined together, to the left along with a few couches in the back. The building has tall ceilings which reminds me of being back in Europe.
The Service at the brewery is nice and fast, the bartenders have good knowledge of the beer making and history of the brewery. You can also find the owners hanging out and talking with people which gives you a “family business” type of atmosphere.
Personally, I’m a lover of Amber-style beer and my boyfriend, Alex, is a lover of IPA’s. When we visited Gate City Brewery, we had what they call a “flight” of beer that cost $10. It contained 4 different small glasses of beer to taste.
Our flight included - “1864”, “Awe Juice”, “Awe Dence”, and “Black Magic”. Those were all IPA’s but I enjoyed the Copper Head Amber instead, which happens to be the only Amber-style beer they have.
We were definitely able to tell how high the quality of beer is here. Alex said that the IPA’s are hoppy and go down smoothly. His favorite IPA from Gate City Brewery is the “1864” beer. He thinks it’s definitely one of the better tasting beer he has had and even wanted to got more before we left. When it comes to IPA’s, I’m not really the biggest fan of it but when I tried the “Awe Juice”, I actually really enjoyed it!! It tasted like oranges, was very light and had a great after taste.
Next time you're visiting down-town Roswell make sure to check out Gate City Brewery!

Cruise Ship Dress Codes Formal Night Yesterday and Today Oh How Things Have Changed
Cruise Ship Dress Codes Formal Night Yesterday and Today Oh How Things Have Changed. Formal night on a cruise ship is not what it used to be. There was a time when dinner on a cruise was a formal affair every night. Tuxedos for men were a must and a different evening gown was worn by women every evening. Kids were expected to honor their families reputation with their behaviour at dinner time and so the best manners were on display. Today? Sorry, men are wearing shorts to the main dinning room these days. Women still out class the guys, but not by much. To find a well dressed couple on a cruise is getting harder to find.
