Explore Japan: Urayasu
Welcome back, my friends!
Today I wanted to take you along on a quick little tour of this beautiful place that I call home. While in Japan I live in the city of Urayasu, It's located just on the outskirts of Tokyo Japan. Like many places in Japan, riding a bike is one of the most popular ways to get around. The streets and sidewalks are specially designed, allowing for all types of traffic to work in harmony.
It's crazy to think that only a few years ago this magnificent place was torn apart by a massive earthquake, but Just like everything that they do, the people of Japan have taken pride to rebuild this mesmerizing place even bigger and better than it was before. Nature is an important part of the Japanese culture so parks are strategically snuggled in between the city buildings allowing families to enjoy a little down time from their busy days.
The Shinurayasu station is where I catch my train to work every day. Even within this modern station, you can find small tokens of Japan's rich history and culture like this statue of Ojizo San, a Buddhist God for children to pray to. ShinUrayasu is only one stop away from Tokyo Disneyland. The station is surrounded by many levels of shops and restaurants making it a very popular destination.
On the other side of town, you can find the place where I spend a lot of my off time. I love bringing my beach towel and enjoying the sun here as I gaze towards the North Pacific Ocean. It's a great place to bring friends , have a cookout, and just recharge. It's also one of the best places to go and get your exercise in for the day.
Japan is loaded with incredible sites that I'm excited to share with you so stay tuned throughout my stay here to learn more about this beautiful country.

Tokyo bay at Urayasu city
I wanted to show why I didn't have videos recently but it got even worse than I expected.
It's raining for almost two weeks stopping for half a day sometimes. The main cause if coming Typhoon. In my time in Tokyo it was never hit by typhoon in full force, but I want to check what is going on at the coast. So I'm going to walk along the coast from Shin-Urayasu station to the east.
I also want to test new way of protecting gimbal as new rainjacket with pants I bought specially for videowalks (to walk without umbrella). It should make filming rainy days much easier.

Shin Urayasu Arcade Fun (2013)
The spirit of the arcade lives on. Here's an example just north of Tokyo proper - in a city called Shin Urayasu, at their local mall. The sights and sounds are what you would expect, but add to it bubble-gum pop and pachinko thrills and your off in colorful goodness.

Snowy night in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan 2012-01-23
After going out with my friend we left the bar to find that it was snowing! This is my first snow in Japan (and in years, really- I'm from Vegas where snow is a rare fluke of the weather Gods) so I got extremely excited and acted a bit like an oversized kid. The area we're walking through is in Shin-Urayasu, near the Mona/Daie/Atre shopping complex and then down the main road.
Some of the things we say;
Yuki ga arimasu = there is snow! / Yuki ga tondeimasu = it's snowing!
Ureshii! = I'm happy! / Yokata = I'm glad
Kirei! = Pretty! / Shiro = White
Yatta = Yay
Samui = cold

QUEEN OFFICIAL SUPER FIREWORKS SHOW IN JAPAN(4K)
Bohemian Rhapsody and The Show Must Go On
I couldn't start from the beginning of Bohemian Rhapsody on this video because the sound was suddenly disrupted in the first part of it. And then the fireworks stopped too! (Oh NO????!!) So I had to upload it from the middle. There must have been a problem with the sound system…. And my seat was in the 2ND row from the front, so some of fireworks were out of frame. Anyway, I hope you have a QUEENMERCURYTASTIC time!!

2013 Summer fireworks of Urayasu city
It's a popular event in Japan for people to watch fireworks on a summer evening, roughly around the end of July and August. You can travel to somewhere to see more famous ones, or you just walk a few minutes to enjoy the local one shown in front of you.
The fireworks of this summer in Urayasu city is the first time to be launched a boat near the beach. However, people are the same as usual, putting on various types of yukata, an informal type of kimono for summer event, trying to find a piece of place in the park to chat, eat, drink and enjoy. And you can see the yukata for girls are very pretty and attractive.
Unfortunately, the event was interrupted by a sudden shower...
