At least eight people have been killed following an earthquake on the island of Hokkaido in Japan.

I was a bit surprised to find breaks on the Sea of Japan side in Hokkaido as I was cycling by the coast. This was near Shosanbetsu.

Enoshima is a small island off the Shōnan coast of Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture. It’s known for the Enoshima Shrine, with statues honoring Benzaiten, the Buddhist goddess. It's also home to the Enospa hot springs and the 19th-century, English-style Samuel Cocking Garden with its Sea Candle lighthouse. The Iwaya Caves feature tidal pools and Buddhist statues. Popular mainland beaches overlook the island.

Bean Throwing Festival in Shiogama

We went on a tour organized by Shiogama City for foreign tourists and residents. The main event on that day was mamemakisai (bean throwing festival) held in Shiogama Shrine, but strolling around the town before that was also a lot of fun.

In den Klippen des Ascetic Court finden wir unser Objekt der Begierde: Der Mönch hat uns bereits kommen sehen und stellt das komplette Gegenteil zu dem dar, was wir erwartet haben, denn er wirkt weder heilig noch mächtig noch ehrwürdig noch weise. Anfangs verweigert er uns seine Hilfe, als wir uns hingegen als Bekannte von Sayaka vorstellen, wendet sich das Blatt und er zeigt sich plötzlich kooperativ. Zumindest teilweise. Denn: Er verlangt uns eine Art Mutprobe ab. Wir sollen sogenanntes Core-Material vom Altar aus dem Tempel vom Lord Of Earth mitbringen. Lebensmüde? Definitiv! Er schickt uns in die Hände eines Devil Golems und wir sind alles andere als amused, fügen uns diesem Wunsch jedoch, denn Atsumas rechter Arm ist der Schlüssel zum Erfolg und solange wir ihn nicht beherrschen, werden wir Toya nicht retten können. Also einmal kräftig reingebissen in den sauren Apfel und auf geht's!
