Attukal Waterfalls, Munnar Idukki | Kerala Hillstation | Kerala Tourism
Take a trip to #Attukal Waterfalls and have a picnic by the rushing cascades. Located 9 km (5.5 mi) away from the hill station, the waterfalls offer an idyllic spot for relaxation, hiking, and photography. Drive up the waterfall area to see the cascade from afar, or trek downhill to the natural basin to cool off and have a dip in the chilly water. During drier weather the falls still make a picturesque place, but they appear in full glory during the monsoon season (June through August), when they roar thunderously down the rough slope of the lush green hills. To visit Attukal Waterfalls on your holiday in Munnar, and find out what else Munnar has to offer, use our Munnar road trip tool .
