Auckland Dockline Tram Wynyard Loop Suspended (2018)
At the end of July 2018 the announcement was made that Auckland's Dockline Tram, The Wynyard loop would be suspended with the last day of operation being Sunday 5th of August 2018.
The trams began operation in August of 2011 and ran a 1.5km loop until 2015 when it was reduced to an out and back service from the shed via stop 4 to stop 1, This was due to ongoing construction in the Wynyard Quarter.
This is Saturday 4th of August 2018, The second to last day, with trams 881 and 466.

Auckland Waterfront - Wynyard Quarter Development
Animation Research Ltd was asked to model and flythrough the proposed Wynyard Quarter development for Waterfront Auckland. Waterfront Auckland is responsible for about 45 hectares of waterfront property, including Wynyard Wharf and the land north of Pakenham Street at Wynyard Quarter, Westhaven Marina, and part of Queens Wharf.

Bring Back Auckland Trams Performative activation event
As an extension of my Manifesto proposition, this change project is an activation which explores a congestion free transporting system of light rail trams to become a frequent mode of travel for people within Auckland city central.
This activation a transformative action exploring an activation through political means of bringing attention to the public. “Bring Back Auckland Trams” Change is activated through a temporary performative event where a line is drawn along Upper Queen Street and Queen street until reaching Quay Street.
The line composed of chalk is a poetic and temporary medium through its transformative and dispersing qualities, influenced by traffic and pedestrians crossing over the lines. The fragility of the line can only be realised as a sort of invariable state if people and traffic were to be cautious and aware; avoiding the chalk lines during the event as a declaration for change. This line is symbolic for a track to be placed along these streets as an important part of my manifesto of light rail tracks to replace cars and parking during certain hours of the day on Queen Street. The edited video recording of the line event transforms from the chaotic noise of traffic and pedestrians to the smooth and calm ambience of light rail trams in movement. This reflection is an activation of a future tram transposed from the chalk lines imprinted on the concrete.

TPPA Signing on Feb 4: New Zealand Government will host the Trans Pacific Partnership nations in Auckland on February 4 for the signing of the TPP Agreement. This despite New Zealand getting little out of it (It failed to negotiate a satisfactory milk powder export deal, and failed in that the people and corporates of TPPA nations will be able to buy up NZ land, buildings and homes beneath a $200 million cap. Consequently, the majority of Kiwis do not want the deal to go ahead).
