In occasione della posa di un busto dello Zar Nicola II ,grande estimatore di Taormina,al Parco Lady Florence Trevelyan donato dalla Federazione Russa si è tenuta una bellissima manifestazione musicale con la partecipazione dell'Orchestra della Marina della Federazione Russa ,della fanfara dei Carabinieri e dell'Orchestra a plettro della città di Taormina.Una nutrita delegazione di autorità russe era presente a Taormina in questo eccezionale evento storico-culturale,per l'occasione regalato dalla Fondazione Culturale Internazionale di Russia S. Andrea su espressa volontà del Governo russo.Il busto dello Zar,posa su una colonna di marmo rosso originale di Taormina nella sua collocazione alla Villa Comunale di Taormina.La figura dello Zar Nicola II,dopo l'apertura degli archivi segreti dell'ex Urss è stata rivalutata dal Governo Russo e dal 2000 l'Imperatore di tutte le Russie è stato addirittura dichiarato Santo e Martire dalla la Chiesa Ortodossa. Da questo momento vi sarà un monumento in sua memoria nella Perla dello Jonio. Alle ore 17 ha avuto luogo la Cerimonia della scoperta del busto dello Zar Nicola II di Russia al Parco Lady Florence Trevelyan, alla presenza di autorità militari e civili della Russia e dell'Italia, e di tutte le autorità locali, e con la benedizione di due vescovi della Chiesa Ortodossa di Russia. Il Concerto in piazza IX Aprile, con esibizione dell'orchestra della Marina della Federazione Russa e dell'orchestra a Plettro Città di Taormina e della Fanfara dei Carabinieri. Infine, alle 19.50 si è avuto il benvenuto del parroco nella Basilica San Nicola di Bari.L'evento, ricordiamo, è stato voluto e organizzato dall'esperto ai Grandi Eventi del Comune, avv. Dino Papale. Per la città di Taormina, dove durante la conquista araba e sino alla conquista spagnola si esercitava il rito bizantino della chiesa greco ortodossa, è stata insomma una giornata particolare.

Raytheon releases impressive video of guided Carl Gustaf ammunition test
U.S. weapons maker Raytheon Company has released new impressive footage of a recent test of the shoulder launched Guided Carl-Gustaf munition.
The test firings were performed at the Bofors Test Center in Karlskoga, Sweden, according to a company news release.
The Carl-Gustaf weapon system built by Saab in coordination with Raytheon is used by the U.S. Army and ground forces of more than 40 other countries. The new semi-active, laser-guided munition will allow militaries to accurately engage stationary or moving targets at distances up to 1.2 miles (2,000 meters).

While NATO forces conduct a major offensive to the South ASOR is tasked to secure the fortified town of Berezniki to the North. The Battle for Berezniki ensues.
Australian Strategic Operations Regiment is a ArmA 3 Gaming Unit that conducts training, missions and operations in ArmA 3 as close to realism as possible without losing the fun of the game.
ASOR draws on the knowledge and experience from current and former serving army members both regular and special forces for accurate tactics and techniques, mission and operations experiences which are then adapted into ArmA 3 gameplay.
No experience is required either military or gaming as a detailed training regime exists to bring new members up to scratch within the ArmA 3 world. Including basic infantry training through to radio, vehicle, air to advanced infantry tactics.

Russian man seen walking out of hospital for a smoke with knife impaled in his back Holygist com
A half-naked man with a huge knife stuck in his back was caught on camera stumbling around a Russian hospital, zombie-like, in search of a smoke.
The graphic footage shows the weapon still embedded as he wanders outside.
The bloody patient identified only as Vladimir, 34, was reportedly being treated at the Zelenodolsk central district hospital in Tatarstan on Monday when he insisted on going outside to smoke a cigarette.
Video footage of the heavily intoxicated man shows him wearily walking outside the hospital – against the orders of medical professionals – wearing nothing but his underwear.
Worried doctors can be heard telling the patient that this smoke break could be his last, eventually convincing him to come back inside.
