Things You Need To Do In Tromso Norway - Dog Sledding, Northern Lights And Snow
Tromso in Norway is a magical winter wonderland, we went in december when there was only 4 hours of daylight. We did some dog sledding and saw the northern lights.
???????? Norway: amazing husky safari and aurora experience
This video shows our experience with dogsledding in Norway.
We spent 3 days in the far north-eastern part of Norway, Kirkenes, close to the Russian border. The snow was covering every surface around us and the average temperature was -20C.
Over this time of the year the sun never fully rises and the light is the same as at either sunset or sundwan for 3/4 hours. After that, it is pitch dark (which could be quite decieving!!).
During the 3 days we spent in the wilderness we were tasked with few jobs (thankfully!) both to keep up busy and to fully live the experience: setting up the sleds, get the dogs to wear the harnesses, feed the dogs, cuddle the dogs, break ice on the river to fetch water for the cabin, make our own BBQ in the snow and so on.
These are only some of the activities necessary when sleeping in a cabin without water and electricity. The whole trip has been a bit out of our comfort zone (as you may have noticed watching our other videos): you can blame it on those amazing loving dogs, you can blame it on the northen lights, on the local hospitaly but it was just and simply magical! Something we would deffo reccomand to everyone!

How to Dog Sled in TROMSØ, NORWAY
Took a trip past the Arctic Circle to the most populated northernmost city of Norway, Tromsø! A drop-dead gorgeous area. Had an amazing time dog sledding w/ freaking precious dogs.♥
Unfortunately all my GoPro videos got erased(pissed), so here is the experience through my iPhone 6, which actually isn't too shabby :)
(GO APPLE)
*Active Tromsø honestly provided an unforgettable experience. They provided all the clothes (Jackets, hats, scarves, pants, gloves, boots) and transportation to and from the site, not to mention they let us noobs drive the sleds. If you want to check them out visit:

Husky Wilderness Camp - Tromso, NORWAY
Operated by famed dog sled racers Tove Sørensen and Tore Albrigtsen and introduce you to many of their 200 championship dogs and puppies who run in the Finnmarksløpet, the world's most northernmost and Europe's longest sled dog race.
Unique for its extreme weather conditions, low temperatures, frozen landscape of lakes and rivers, tundra and endless mountain, the Finnmarksløpet race is one of the toughest on the planet. The race begins every year on the first weekend of March and crosses the Finnmarksvidda where the temperature may drop below -49 degrees F. In the course of four to five days the musher and the dogs are expected to cover over 600 miles.
