Our Australian Travel Vlog 3. The Gold Coast & Brisbane, Queensland Australia
This is part 3 of my travel vlog series about our holiday in Australia. Parts of this video were filmed on our flight to the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia with Virgin Airlines, some at Sea World, some at Tambourine Mountain and some in Brisbane. We spent 10 days in Queensland, visiting the Gold Coast and Brisbane, before heading back to Adelaide.

Brisbane on a Budget: Series 05 Queensland E14 Road Trip Lap of Australia
We head to Brisbane to see what we can see and do for free or low cost as a family. We take rides on the City Hopper Ferry, visit Southbank parks, playgrounds and pools, visit the museum and then head to the Store of Requirement - Harry Potter world!

The capital city of the state of Queensland, the heart of hilly Brisbane is the river, which snakes from Mount Stanley to the Coral Sea.
A good starting point for your city tour is Brisbane's biggest hill, Mount Coot-tha. Here you can explore the skies of the Southern Hemisphere at the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium and find the laughing kookaburra at Brisbane Botanical Gardens.
Brisbane's spacious South Bank has many free activities and facilities which attract more than 10 million people every year, including galleries, bars, weekend markets and even lagoons.
The Wheel of Brisbane overlooks the Cultural Forecourt, a collection of museums and theaters, including Queensland Art Gallery and the Performing Arts Center.
From the piers at South Bank, the public ferry downstream takes you to Newfarm Park. The restored Powerhouse has become an institution among art and music lovers. On your way back, hop off at Kangaroo Point to visit the Story Bridge, one of the best spots to watch the sun set over the city.

A train ride from Sydney to Brisbane on NSW TrainLink XPT
XPT is a long distance interstate train which is operated by NSW TrainLink of New South Wales from Sydney and one of these routes are connecting Sydney and Brisbane in Queensland. I used the cheapest class fare on this train, the Economy Class costs $45 (non-refundable) and the 14 hour journey takes too long for me on a train like this but Australians think that these train journeys are considered medium.

City Tour in the third largest metropolis in Australia, Brisbane the capital of Queensland fascinated us. The highlights of this city we have visited and here you can get a small first impression. There is also the City Center with the City Hall, the Queens Street Mall, the many bars at Eagle Street Pier, a ride on the Brisbane River and a visit with swimming in South Bank. On the weekend you can stroll through Hamilton at the Eat Stree Marketsphotos
or relax in one of the many botanical city parks like the Roma Street Parkland. The best photos of the skyline are from Mt Coot - tha, which is easy to reach by bus, so I have a clear recommendation!
