UBER ride in Vienna, Austria with #901cali #Vlog 39
UBER ride in Vienna, Austria with 901cali #Vlog 39
In this video I take my first Uber ride in Europe.
I was backpacking around here for a few weeks. Finally had the urge to request a Uber. I waited for the driver to pick me up and I hopped in and off we went.
Driver was very nice and friendly. I talked to drivers about his experiences driving for the new rideshare giant Uber. The driver explain to me how the service recently popped up in the area drivers as well as passengers are hopping on board left and right.
Taxi drivers love the idea of not paying a lease to a taxi company as well as the freedom and flexibility to work whenever. The freelance economy or better known as the Sharing economy definitely has its's set of pros and cons. Later the driver explain how he was making about 100% more money when he started in today. To put that in words a year agoyou work 40 hours to make $1000. One year later you work the same 40 hours and you only make $500. Ubers famous sogan is lower fares = more rides.
Uber attract new passengers in Vienna as well.
New passengers flock to use Uber for the first time. Remember the first time you use the service you always get a free ride or something if not 10 free rides.
You get the riders hooked on the service. Passengers now always can request a ride and know that the driver is coming because they can see the driver on the map in the app. This is a very very positive experience for a customer who has used taxis for years. Credit card is already on file. Once you arrive to your destination just jump out of the car no need to leave a tip. Now you have the opportunity to write your driver.
