Autopolis is located near Kamitsue village in Hita city the japanese venue opened in 1990 with a total construction cost of 47 Billion yen (500 Million US dollars 443 Million Euros) the circuit was designed by Yoshihitoshi Sakurai . The venue showed its intentions to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix by sponsoring Benetton for 1990 & 1991 but it was deamed unsuitable , the only major international level event held on the course was the last round of the 1991 World sports car championchip (430km of Autopolis) won by Mivhael Schumacher and Karl Wendlinger driving a Sauber-Mercedes C291 .
The venue was bought by Kawasaki (Current owner) in 2005 and hosts events for MFJ Superbike , Super Formula , Super GT and Super Taikyu so since the SF19 won't arrive until the 28th i figured Super GT was the next best thing to celebrate its debut in Gran Turismo and its general gaming apperance since Need for Speed Shift 2 unleased (2011) .
