RUSSIAN ARTISTS, THE PEREDVIZHNIKI, OR THE WANDERERS
Peredvizhniki, or The Society for Travelling Art Exhibitions, was officially established in 1870.
The ideals for this revolt against the conservative Russian academic art of the time began In 1863 by a group students that ultimately formed a country wide artistic society
From 1871 to 1923, the society arranged 48 national exhibitions in St. Petersburg and Moscow, as well as Kiev, Kharkov, Kazan, Oryol, Riga, Odessa, etc.
The Peredvizhniki artists portrayed everyday life and the beauty of landscapes. They emphasized peasant genre scenes, as well as historically important events

Raw Interviews with Men Dating Ukraine Women
Millions of the most beautiful Ukraine women call Odessa their home. Searching for a soulmate, these Ukraine women regularly attend singles tours as a means to meet Mr. Right while he’s visiting Odessa.
Odessa Ukraine is an amorous city and has been adored by artists, performers and poets. It's also known for its wide selection of museums and galleries, peaceful gardens and unique architecture. Odessa’s warm weather, picturesque coastal areas and therapeutic mud from salt lagoons are one of the many reasons why this beautiful city in Easter Europe accounts for millions of tourists every year.
Apart from its exquisite scenery and history, Ukrainian women are also a marvel to look at. Their beauty and charm could possibly answer why a great number of western men solo travel to Ukraine. These foreign attendees join a social event which happens several times a year.
International dating has been a long-desired solution for a single foreign man and the local Ukraine woman as it seeks to connect two individuals together. A significant number of Odessa women get engaged or married to foreign men every year. While some prefer to try Ukraine dating and get to know slavic women first before eventually settling down.

Performance 8 at National Art Museum of Ukraine
EIDOS ARTS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION
INTERNATIONAL CURATORIAL COMPETITION
ART A PRIORI: CONTEMPORARY HISTORIES
PROJECT: Performance 8
CURATOR: Larissa Babij
DATE: October 10, 2009
MUSEUM: National Art Museum of Ukraine
A man is walking from one end of the gallery to the other. The entire time he is looking attentively at the icon in front of him. Over eight hours, he covers a distance of approximately 50 meters, which could be done in eight seconds (running), in less than a minute if walking with a normal relaxed stride, in eight minutes at a very slow, meditative pace.
Eight hours is a long time to move continuously.
During the performance in the National Art Museum, lasting the entire working day, performer Oleksandr Lebediev investigates the phenomena of physical movement and visual perception. His attention constantly oscillates between concentrating on the movement of his own body and observing the surrounding museum space. He is exploring the threshold between stillness and movement.

9th of May. London
The exhibition is titled ‘9th of May’, in references Victory Day, a holiday marking the surrender of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union. In 2015, the Ukrainian government approved a package of laws on “decommunisation” in an effort to re-write an official version of Ukrainian 20th century history that’s separated from Russia. The laws ban Nazi and Communist symbols; and they replaced the Soviet term “Great Patriotic War” with the European Second World War.
For Maria, the idea of celebrating victory over fascism is a facade and a propaganda tool to inflate a sense of nationalism in order to cover up the current authoritarian dictatorship in Crimea and other occupied territories of Ukraine by Russian State.
The 9th of May exhibition will feature a series of sculptures, ceramics and sketches to show the fragile relationship between the human body and the external context of war. For this exhibition, Kulikovska has recreated sculpture pieces from previous bodies of work, which the artist regards a poetic extension of her own corporeal body. Sculptures from Homo Bulla, 254, and Flowers of Democracy, which were originally created and destroyed by the war, will now be re-birthed and reclaimed as a message of hope and action.
The artist sees this two-part project as a celebration of the power of art. “Marcel Duchamp once claimed, “I don’t believe in art, I believe in artists.” But I believe in art more than artists.” – Maria Kulikovska.
