Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (Chinese: 亞美打利庇盧大馬路), also commonly known as San Ma Lo (Chinese: 新馬路; new street of horses), is the main avenue in the heart of Macau Peninsula. The 620 metres long avenue was laid out in 1920 and it extends from the Inner to the Outer harbour, passing through the old residential area with its rows of colourful street shops.

The construction of Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (also commonly known as San Ma Lou) was completed in 1918. Since the start of a series of reclamation project, Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro has been a bustling and flourishing street. It also serves as an important gateway connecting the South Bay (Nam Van) to the Inner Harbour and what was once the North Bay (now inundated).
Aside from the crowds of people at Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro near the new South Bay, one can also find old-style mansions lining both sides of the road, stretching westwards. The mansions served as a reminder of the good old days of San Ma Lou;.
亞美打利庇盧大馬路俗稱新馬路，東至南灣大馬路，西止於火船頭街。
1918年，新馬路工程竣工，澳葡政府將議事亭前地至內港路段命名為亞美打利庇盧大馬路，議事亭前地至南灣路段命名為美副將大馬路。後來統一命名為亞美打利庇盧大馬路，市民稱之為新馬路。
新馬路是澳門半島最為繁華熱鬧的街道，道路兩旁的建築見證了新馬路的往事。
南通商業大廈中國銀行，為興記酒店（域多利酒店）舊址。該酒店由英資開辦，樓高三層，是外國人在澳門最早開設的酒店，也是19世紀末期澳門最大的酒店之一。1928年改為利為旅酒店；1974年改建為南通大廈；1998年再度拆建，二十五層高的南通商業大廈告竣，中國銀行隨後入駐辦公。
新中央酒店原名總統酒店，1928年建成開幕，為當時澳門最高和首間設有電梯的酒店，1932年易名為中央酒店。1941年國際酒店開幕，是當時澳門樓層最高、設計最新穎、設備最現代的酒店。中央酒店為此斥資擴建，增至十一層以超過國際酒店，並更名為新中央。
新中央酒店北邊的大豐銀行大廈，原為澳門第一間戲院——域多利戲院舊址。1931年，該院開始播放有聲電影，為澳門首間播放有聲電影的戲院。

Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (Chinese: 亞美打利庇盧大馬路), also commonly known as San Ma Lo (Chinese: 新馬路), is the main avenue in the heart of Macau Peninsula. The 620 metres long avenue was laid out in 1920 and it extends from the Inner to the Outer harbour, passing through the old residential area with its rows of colourful street shops.
The main shopping belt is marked by the streets of Avenida do Infante D. Henrique and Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, S. Domingos Market, Rua da Palha, Rua do Campo, and Rua Pedro Nolasco da Silva. Nearby, on the lanes around the Rua das Estalagens, is a local flea market, a popular spot to look for Chinese antiques.
From Largo do Senado heading towards the Inner Harbour along the Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, a cluster of jewellery or gold shops can be easily found. Also, antique shops can be seen near St. Paul's, along Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, on Travessa do Pagode and opposite the Kun Lam Temple. Liquors, tobacco, Portuguese wine are largely found in many shops on Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro.
亞美打利庇盧大馬路（葡文：Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro；又稱亞美打卑盧大馬路，又稱新馬路）是澳門中區的一條重要馬路，東接殷皇子大馬路，從南灣大馬路起，西至火船頭街與巴素打爾古街之間，全長620米。
由2010年5月16日起，澳門特區政府交通事務局試行於星期日及公眾假期，將龍嵩正街至營地大街之間一段新馬路列為公交專道，只准巴士、的士及特許車輛通行

China Macau City Video Tour: Largo de Senado Senado Square + Ruins of St. Paul 澳門一天遊
My first China Macau City video is now up! From Manila, Philippines to China Macao we took AirAsia airlines last April 2019. From Macau International Airport we rode the free shuttle bus we arrived in Hotel Lisboa Macau. During our first day in China Macao City we got to see the main city attractions of Macau tourism. Our Macau city tour started with a stroll to Senado Square a Portugese-influenced town square and a part of UNESCO Historic Centre where we got to see the 17th century Ruins of St. Paul and St. Dominic’s Church. Largo de Senado or Senate Square actually connects the ends of Largo do São Domingos at one end and Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro. St. Paul Ruins or the one wall facade was a church back then before it was burned down in the 1980’s and I thought it was really cool to that it could be seen from different alleys in Senado Square, thus I tried my first attempt at making a decent looking hyperlapse. We also had the chance to try the famous Portugese egg tarts which is definitely a must-try! We ate lunch near St. Paul’s Ruins and dinner at Palacio Lisboa located at Hotel Lisboa. Macau or Macao? Some say they can be used interchangeably, hence I used both for the description of this travel video. Basically, this Macao video clip covers only day one! The next travel video montage will cover Day two as we tour Hong Kong for a day by taking a TurboJet ferry from China Macao and the rest covers more of our China Macau trip so there would definitely be another Macau China travel video. Join us as we travel Macau city!
