Avenue of the Baobabs, Madagascar: Drone View
We take a drone flight over a popular tourist destination in Madagascar: Avenue (or Alley) of the Baobabs, near Morondava, in western Madagascar. Madagascar is home to 7 of the world's 8 species of baobab trees, and many of them grow in this place. I sent a drone into the air to get a closer look at them.
MADAGASCAR | Lemurs, Baobab Trees + Broken Bridges
We went to Madagascar. We helped save a species of endangered lemur (Great Bamboo Lemur), but quickly found ourselves adventuring the Avenue of Baobabs, floating with fisherman, uncovering endemic creatures of all sorts, bathing is 100 meter waterfalls, avoiding collapsed bridges and sacrificing Zebus for spiritual celebrations.

Baobab Alley & Epic MADAGASCAR Photography Part 1
We made it to the Allée des Baobabs!! This is a very famous landscape photography location and an image that defines a nation.
On route to the far west coast we stopped first in a river side town called Miandrivazo. Here there is a great eco adventure available taking a Pirogua out on the river with a local guide. As it's our mission to get some community tourism initiatives on camera with Mora Travel we all thought this would be a great start. It was and turned out great on camera :) I hope you like that segment of the video.
Then down to the famed Baobab Alley and a somewhat abrupt cut to the Vlog. I realized in post processing (and in the video which you'll see in part 2) that the Vlog was getting really really long and it was better to break it up into two.
So... there is a bit of a BONUS VLOG dropping TOMORROW!!! That's where we see our first LEMURS and even a FOSSA!!!
Shout out to our local tour operator partner Mora Travel. They've been great assisting with this journey. Here's their direct contact for more info.
As always thanks for watching and let us know your thoughts on Madagascar.

II - Morondava and Baobab Avenue

Fishing village and white sand beach at Morondava, Madagascar.
The Avenue of the Baobabs is a prominent group of Grandidier's baobabs trees lining the dirt road between Morondava and Belon'i Tsiribihina in the Menabe region of western Madagascar. Along a 260 m stretch of the road is a grove of 20 plus Adansonia grandidieri baobabs. The trees, which are endemic to Madagascar, are about 100 ft high and up to 2,800 years old.
