Salisbury’s River Nadder In Need Of Some Extra Help To Protect The Wildlife
Volunteers are needed in Salisbury to help the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust with conservation work taking place along the River Nadder. It’ll be one of the biggest sections of river they’ve worked on so far to protect wildlife and their habitats. Our reporter Kara Digby takes a look at the impact the work will have.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Rainbow Trout the size of my arm and metre long eels in the Avon River today, amazing. I can only imagine the lack of waste being dumped into the river from the CBD since earthquake has allowed the fish to swim upstream to spawn. Apologies for the low res and choppy editing.

The main species are Brown Trout and Grayling. The fishery is run by Salisbury and District Angling Club and provides good Mayfly fishing.

Beat 3, Durnford Fishery, River Avon, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. This view is of the bottom end of beat 3 close to the road bridge. The main species are Brown Trout and Grayling and the water is managed by Salisbury and District Angling Club. Good Mayfly fishing is to be had in season.
35lb Atlantic Salmon off the Hampshire Avon on my 53rd birthday!
A classic Avon salmon turns down stream and nails a red flying C in the Broadmeade pool on the Hampshire Avon. After an epic 9 minute battle the salmon eventually comes to the net. Filmed by PGTV and music provided by bensound.com
