This world premiere adaptation of Jane Austen’s first novel leads us on a journey through friendship, love, and misunderstanding. Young Catherine Morland is obsessed with Gothic romance novels. After warily stepping into the social world of Bath, England, she’s invited to stay at the foreboding Northanger Abbey, where she finds much more than she expected. This young woman’s coming of age story is brought to life with wit, music, and dance, and with a vision of our comic world only Jane Austen could create.

2018 ABOR OFR Session 2 of 2
The Arizona Board of Regents unanimously accepted
the new strategic plan for the University of Arizona following this detailed presentation by UA President Robert C. Robbins
The plan capitalizes on the research and discovery strengths of the university in tackling global grand challenges, while ensuring students are prepared to be innovative, adaptive learners in an ever evolving world. It also embraces the UA’s original mission as a land grant university to serve the diverse population of our state in ways that meet the unique needs of Arizonans.
“Over the past year, more than 10,000 students, faculty, staff, alumni, elected officials and supporters shared their time and talents in collaborative dialogue about our future as an institution,” said UA
President Robert C. Robbins. “I am incredibly grateful for the collective insight that has led to a bold, distinctive and differentiated vision for the UA.”

Do you believe in ghosts? It’s okay to say yes, because a little more than one-third of American adults do too. And some of them claim to have experienced the signs of hauntings that we’re all familiar with from horror movies: apparitions, weird sounds, unexplainable moved objects and even cold spots. This isn’t “Amityville” or “Poltergeist” we’re talking about here. True believers say these are _real_ haunted houses that you can either stay as far away from as possible… or enter if you dare.
Take the Whaley House, for example. In 1852 a guy nicknamed “Yankee Jim” was convicted of grand larceny and hung to death on a site in San Diego where the Whaley House now resides. Its residents have long claimed to hear the sound of Yankee Jim’s boots clomping through the house. There’s so much paranormal activity in Whaley House that some have declared it the “most haunted house” in America. Even Regis Philbin claims to have seen a ghost when he stayed there.
But that’s still not as weird as the Faces of Belmez. There’s a small cottage in the Spanish town of Belméz that is built on old burial grounds. Former resident Maria Goméz Pereira discovered a 3-dimensional face there, rising up from the cement kitchen floor in 1971. It resembled a plaster casting, as if a head was buried below it. Pereira tried to chip the face away with an axe, but underneath she kept finding more faces. Some were old men. Others were children. Scientists have examined the site and have yet to pinpoint how the faces got there.
You may have heard of Blickling Hall, “the most haunted home” in all of England. It was once where Anne Boleyn grew up… one of King Henry the 8th’s wives and mother to Queen Elizabeth the first. When Boleyn couldn’t provide Henry with a son, she was scandalously charged with treason, adultery and incest… and then decapitated. Every year, on the anniversary of her execution, those at Blickling Hall have sighted her ghostly arrival in a carriage drawn by a headless horseman. Boleyn herself, is said to carry her own severed head with her.
Then there’s the Villisca Ax Murder House. Two girls stayed with the Moore family in Villisca, Iowa after church one night in 1912. Sometime between midnight and dawn, an intruder entered the Moore’s home and brutally crushed the skulls of all 8 people inside with an axe. The killer was never found. Since then, numerous hauntings have been reported, including falling lamps, flying objects and mysterious voices.
Here’s one with a plot twist: the LaLaurie House. Some in New Orleans suspected that wealthy Lalaurie family didn’t properly feed or care for their slaves back in 1831. Lalaurie was fined and forced to sell her slaves, but her family bought them back for her. Later, Lalaurie’s cruelty was revealed when her cook set the house on fire and rescuers pulled chained, malnourished slaves from the building. Two died. Two more were found buried in the yard. Lalaurie fled town, never punished. The house is still known for its hauntings. LaLaurie inspired a character on “American Horror Story” and actor Nicolas Cage bought the home in 2007, calling it “ghost-front property.” He lost the haunted house to foreclosure in 2009.

Sherman's March 1985 (Full Documentary)
Movie loosely based on the actual Sherman's March. It's mostly about Ross McElwee(the director) and his adventures with hot southern women. He recalls seeing a atmosphere nuke test as a child, which affected his life forever. Oh, and Burt Reynolds makes an appearance! A die-hard fan got a kiss on the cheek from Burt, and her life was also greatly affected forever! Mish-mash movie, but very entertaining!

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Science fiction will sometimes address the topic of religion. Often religious themes are used to convey a broader message, but others confront the subject head-on—contemplating, for example, how attitudes towards faith might shift in the wake of ever-advancing technological progress, or offering creative scientific explanations for the apparently mystical events related in religious texts (gods as aliens, prophets as time travelers, etc.). As an exploratory medium, science fiction rarely takes religion at face value by simply accepting or rejecting it; when religious themes are presented, they tend to be investigated deeply.
Some science fiction works portray invented religions, either placed into a contemporary Earth society (such as the Earthseed religion in Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower), or in the far future (as seen in Dune by Frank Herbert, with its Orange Catholic Bible). Other works examine the role of existing religions in a futuristic or alternate society. The classic Canticle for Leibowitz explores a world in which Catholicism is one of the few institutions to survive an apocalypse, and chronicles its slow re-achievement of prominence as civilisation returns.
Christian science fiction also exists, sometimes written as allegory for inspirational purposes.Orson Scott Card has criticized the genre for oversimplifying religion, which he claims is always shown as ridiculous and false.
