Hi, this is my mum.
The three day itinerary:
Day 1: Shuttle from Nelson to Marahau, kayak to Watering Cove. Would have gone further but a storm had made the sea pretty rough and there were high winds.Walked from the campsite to Anchorage and Cleopatra's Pool.
Day 2: Kayak on to Onetahuti, arriving before 3pm so the kayaks can be collected by the rental company. Walked north to Awaroa.
Day 3: Walk to Anchorage, via high tide route, arriving before 3:30pm for water taxi, then back to Nelson.

New Zealand South Island Bike Packing EPIC trip!
I had some time off in between jobs and what better way to spend it than cycling almost 1,000 km on my own through the spectacular scenery of the South Island of New Zealand.
I was a bit nervous before I set out on this trip, mainly because I knew it was gonna be freaking tough on the legs; but I soon realised that it was as tough mentally as it was physically. I think that three weeks of fighting inner demons on a bike with no ipod, has made me realise a whole bunch of new things about my personality.
This trip wouldn't have been the same without the handy tips from the local farmers, hunters and piss heads; or the never ending Q&A I had going on with the dudes ay my local bike shop. So thanks.

Day 14: Nelson - Richmond - Moutere - Motueka
Day 15: Motueka - Marahau - Abel Tasman National Park - Te Pukatea Bay (via kayak)
Day 16: Te Pukatea - The Anchorage - Bark Bay - Tonga Bay - Awaroa Bay (via kayak)
Day 17: Awaroa Bay - Totaranui - Wainui - Tata Beach - Clifton - Takaka
Day 18: Takaka - Kahurangi National Park - Heaphy Track - Perry Saddle Hut
Day 19: Perry Saddle Hut - Heaphy Hut
Day 20: Heaphy Hut - Karamea - Wellington
Day 21: Wellington - Sydney
