Road trip to Kunisaki Peninsula – Exploring the rural areas of Oita by car
The Kunisaki Peninsula (国東半島) is situated in northern Oita Prefecture, facing the Seto Inland Sea. It has a number of valleys radiating from Mount Futago at its center. Along the eastern coastline of the Peninsula are various places for good fortune scattered around. That’s why the highway is called good fortune road (開運ロード). Along the west coast, you will find yourself driving on the Koikana road, which can be translated as “Love Road”. No matter how you decide to explore Kunisaki, many power spots and interesting places are waiting for. In addition to that, has the area plenty of delicious seafood to offer.
