Boneka Hantu di Awashima Shrine 淡嶋神社 Wakayama - Japan. Kuil Shinto ini sangat unik karena dipenuhi oleh boneka-boneka hantu yang berisi roh atau spirit didalamnya, bahkan konon ada boneka yang rambutnya bisa tumbuh terus meski sudah dipotong. Kuil ini terletak di Wakayama, Japan.
Awashima Shrine in Kada, Wakayama may be one of the most unique shrines in the Kansai area. Located about a 20-minute walk from Kada Station through a picturesque country town, the brightly colored vermillion shrine is most famous for the Girls Day Festival, or Hina Matsuri, held every year on March 3rd. The Shrine gathers up special Hina dolls and releases them into Kada Bay on small wooden boats. While this ceremony sounds sweet to behold, under the surface the story is a bit creepier. These dolls were all given to the shrine so they would not come back to haunt their owners.
There are many in Japan who believe that dolls have spirits that will torment their owners if they are tossed away. People from all over the country come to properly dispose of their dolls and statues at Awashima Shrine. There the priests will cleanse the dolls and appease their spirits so they can be discarded without seeking revenge on their owner.
All manner of figurines can be found here. Dolls, masks, lucky cats, and daruma statues are just a few of the types that can be seen around the shrine grounds.
Kuil Awashima di Kada, Wakayama mungkin menjadi salah satu kuil paling unik di daerah Kansai. Terletak sekitar 20 menit berjalan kaki dari Stasiun Kada melalui kota pedesaan yang indah, kuil vermillion yang berwarna cerah paling terkenal dengan Girls Day Festival, atau Hina Matsuri, yang diadakan setiap tahun pada 3 Maret. Kuil mengumpulkan boneka Hina khusus dan melepaskannya ke Teluk Kada dengan perahu kayu kecil. Meskipun upacara ini terdengar manis untuk dilihat, di bawah permukaan ceritanya agak menyeramkan. Semua boneka ini diberikan ke kuil sehingga mereka tidak akan kembali menghantui pemiliknya.
Ada banyak orang di Jepang yang percaya bahwa boneka memiliki roh yang akan menyiksa pemiliknya jika mereka dibuang. Orang-orang dari seluruh negeri datang untuk membuang boneka dan patung mereka di Kuil Awashima dengan benar. Di sana para imam akan membersihkan boneka-boneka itu dan menenangkan semangat mereka sehingga mereka dapat dibuang tanpa membalas dendam pada pemiliknya.
Segala macam patung dapat ditemukan di sini. Boneka, topeng, kucing beruntung, dan patung daruma hanyalah beberapa dari jenis yang dapat dilihat di sekitar halaman kuil.

Shrine of the Dolls - Awashima jinja in Wakayama
So Awashima jinja in Kada, Wakayama is famous for being the site where every year dolls are released into the ocean on the day of Hina Matsuri. It's often considered bad luck to simply throw away many of the items kept at the shrine, so people bring them here for the shrine to keep which has resulted in an interesting collection of everything from dolls and elephant statues, to tanuki and dragons.

Awashima shrine in Japan
Awashima shrine in Wakayama prefecture. There is a place where can hold a memorial service for old dolls. Quite many people still believe about curse stuff in Japan and they can not put them in the bin.....so.....people bring their old dolls to this shrine. There is an anual event in this shrine once a year. They float some dingeys on the ocean and pray for them and let them go. They might burn them after that..... My first time to see them was 14 years old and I still remember how scary thing in Jpana..... It is now OK, I know the reason about this but I will never visit here in the dark...........!!
Awashima shrine in Wakayama
Awashima-jinja shrine is well-known for the Hina Nagashi ritual that takes place on March 3 every year. Many women visit this shrine to make prayers related to female matters such as childbirth and fertility. It is famous for its dolls, which have been dedicated from all over the country and are lined up in the vermilion-lacquered front hall.

平成29年(2017年)3月3日、和歌山市加太の淡島神社（加太淡島神社）にて正午より行われる雛流し（ひなながし）の大祭を見学に行きました。 この日、神社の本殿には夥しい数の雛人形が並べられていました。 近所の幼稚園児による合唱と神職による神事が終了した後、巫女さんたちの手によって雛人形が厳かに用意された三艘の小舟に乗せられます。 雛祭りは女性のためのお祭りなので、それらの小舟は女性信徒の手により神社近くの海岸の桟橋へと運ばれます。 桟橋で再度神職による神事が行われた後、小舟は海へと流されます。 その後は、近くの浜辺で雛人形を焼却するお焚き上げの儀式が行われ一連の行事が終了します。
I saw the ritual of Hina(Doll) Festival and Hina(Doll) Floating Festival held from 12 o'clock at Awashima Shrine in Kada City, Wakayama on March 3, 2017. On this day, a lot of dolls are lined up in the main hall of the shrine. After the shinto rituals by the priest and the chorus by the children were over, the dolls can be put in the boat by the shrine maiden. Then, the Dolls on the small boat was carried to the pier near the shrine by female believers. Hina(Doll) Festival is a festival for women. After the shrine rituals at the pier, being seen off by many believers and tourists, the small boat on which the dolls ride is flushed to the sea. Finally, the ceremony of ”Otakiage” is held on the nearby sandy beach. This is a ceremony to incinerate Hina dolls.
我在2017年3月3日的和歌山市加太市12月的12點鐘看到了Hina（雛・娃娃）節和Hina（雛・娃娃）浮動節的儀式。在這一天，很多娃娃排列在 神殿的主殿。 在牧師的神聖儀式和孩子的合唱結束後，娃娃可以由神社少女放在船上。 然後，小船上的娃娃被女信徒運到神社附近的碼頭。 Hina（雛・Doll）節日是婦女的節日。 在碼頭的神社儀式之後，許多信徒和遊客都看到了，玩偶乘坐的小船被沖到海裡。 最後，在附近的沙灘舉行“Otakiage(お焚き上げ)”的儀式。 這是一個焚燒Hina(雛)娃娃的儀式。

Ich sah das Ritual von Hina (Doll) Festival und Hina (Doll) Floating Festival von 12 Uhr im Awashima Shrine in Kada City, Wakayama am 3. März 2017. An diesem Tag sind viele Puppen in der Haupthalle des Schreins Nachdem die Shinto-Rituale vom Priester und der Chor von den Kindern vorbei waren, können die Puppen durch das Schreinmädchen in das Boot gesteckt werden. Dann wurden die Puppen auf dem kleinen Boot an den Pier in der Nähe des Schreins von weiblichen Gläubigen getragen. Hina (Doll) Festival ist ein Fest für Frauen. Nach dem Schrein Rituale an der Seebrücke, von vielen Gläubigen und Touristen gesehen, ist das kleine Boot, auf dem die Puppen reiten, zum Meer gerötet. Schließlich findet die Zeremonie von Otakiage auf dem nahe gelegenen Sandstrand statt. Dies ist eine Zeremonie, um Hina Puppen zu verbrennen.

In questo giorno, molte bambole sono allineate Sala principale del santuario. Dopo che i rituali scintillanti del sacerdote e il coro da parte dei bambini erano finiti, le bambole possono essere messe in barca dalla festa del sacrario. Poi le bambole sulla piccola imbarcazione vennero portate al molo vicino al santuario da parte dei credenti femminili. Hina (Doll) Festival è un festival per le donne. Dopo i rituali del santuario al molo, veduto da molti credenti e turisti, la piccola imbarcazione in cui le cavalcate di bambole viene spruzzata verso il mare. Infine, la cerimonia di Otakiage si tiene sulla vicina spiaggia di sabbia. Questa è una cerimonia per incenerire le bambole di Hina.
Saya melihat ritual Hina (Doll) Festival dan Hina (Doll) Floating Festival yang diadakan dari pukul 12 di Kuil Awashima di Kota Kada, Wakayama pada tanggal 3 Maret 2017. Pada hari ini, banyak boneka berbaris di Ruang utama kuil. Setelah ritual shinto oleh pendeta dan paduan suara oleh anak-anak selesai, boneka-boneka itu bisa dimasukkan ke dalam perahu oleh gadis kuil tersebut. Kemudian, Boneka-boneka di atas kapal kecil itu dibawa ke dermaga dekat tempat suci oleh orang-orang percaya perempuan. Festival Hina (Doll) adalah festival untuk wanita. Setelah ritual kuil di dermaga, dilihat oleh banyak orang percaya dan turis, perahu kecil tempat boneka naik ke laut. Akhirnya, upacara Otakiage diadakan di pantai berpasir di dekatnya. Ini adalah upacara untuk membakar boneka Hina.

Got lost somehow at Fushimi Shrine because I decided to take a detour... Bad Bad Mistake. Something followed me into the night, and lucky I found some ppl at the end to point me in the right direction... Which took another hour to get down -_-
