Axalp is a resort area in the Swiss Alps, located in the Bernese Oberland. It is composed of several hamlets between 1,458 and 1,535 metres.
In summer, the Axalp is famous for terrific views. The various moods of the mountains will impress.
Mountain Restaurant Hilten Axalp offers spectacular Alpine worlds and great hospitality.
On the natural terrace high above Lake Brienz, the view opens into the panorama, underlined the deep turquoise blue of the lake Brienz. Numerous hiking and mountain paths lead through the alpine nature. A hike to Hinterburgseeli is highly recommmended!

The homely village of Brienz is surrounded by a charming mountain landscape at the eastern end of the turquoise Lake Brienz. Known as a Schnitzerdorf, Brienz has a long tradition in woodworking and still has a wood sculpture school and a violin building school.
The municipality of Brienz is located on the shores of Lake Brienz and at the foot of the Brienzer Rothorn (2350 meters above sea level). It extends from the Brienzergrat in the north over the lowest point (lake level 564 m above sea level) to the highest elevation Schwarzhorn (2928 m above sea level) south of the lake and borders eight neighboring communities as well as the cantons of Lucerne and Obwalden.
The green-blue lake of Brienz, on whose south bank dark pine forests stand directly on the water, clearly bears the character of a mountain lake. The village has five alpine pastures.

Axalp - Autumn hike high above Lake Brienz (Tschingel, Axalphoren, Swiss Air Force)
An easy autumn hike with a little bit winterly ambiente on the Axalp, above Brienz, Lake Brienz in Haslital-Switzerland.
Drove with a car to Axalp, then the hike to the Axalphorn 2321m ..takes about 2 hours from there.
It was a week before a swiss military airforce event Fliegerschiessen Axalp 2019 .. so the Swiss Air Force trained..it was very loud, because of that the military didn't allow us to go any further..to get to the summit of Axalphorn.. we came only to the ridge..then on the way back we've visited the neighbour peak Tschingel 2243m
Week later the show Axalp Flight-show Fliegerschiessen 2019 due to a bad weather didn't took a place.
