GoPro Greenbelt Mall Ayala Center Walking Tour Overview Makati Philippines. Greenbelt is a chic and modern shopping mall located at Ayala Center, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines which is close to Glorietta and SM Makati and adjacent to the New World Hotel . It is owned by Ayala Malls, a real-estate subsidiary of Ayala Land, which is an affiliate of Ayala Corporation. It opened in the 1980s and is one of Ayala Corporation's flagship projects. The mall offers a mix of high-end retail shops, restaurants, amenities, leisure and entertainment as well as a 3 hectare park with cascading landscapes and water features. Currently, the mall has five section: two enclosed areas, two buildings open-air shopping areas, and Greenbelt 5, which opened in 2007. The mall is walking distance from the following 5 star Makati Hotels: Shangri-La Makati, Peninsula Manila, Dusit, Fairmont, Raffles Residences, New World Hotel.

Built around a 250,000 square meter retail complex, the mall, which merged the previous small arcades and shops, was first opened to the public in 1989. It was renovated in 2001 and re-opened as Greenbelt 1, 2 and 3 in 2002, with 4 and 5 opening in 2004 and 2007, respectively, on the basis of other pioneer shops in the area.

Greenbelt 1 features mostly appliance and supply stores like ACE Hardware, National Bookstore, Automatic Center and Rustan’s Supermarket.

Greenbelt 2 is a restaurant and bar strip which includes Italianni’s Draft, 8 Cuts Burger Blends, Sugi, Mary Grace, Spicy Fingers, Nuvo and Barcino’s.

Greenbelt 3 features a mix of international brands such as Calvin Klein, Diesel S.p.A., Ralph Lauren, Hermès, Kate Spade, Kenneth Cole, Lacoste, Nine West, Topman, Topshop, among others.

Greenbelt 4 features high-end boutiques such as Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Bulgari , Gucci, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Salvatore Ferragamo,.

Greenbelt 5 has boutiques of Filipino designers, high-end department store Adora, and boutiques of Aldo, Banana Republic, Bang & Olufsen, Chopard, Crocs, DKNY, Escada, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Juicy Couture, Kenneth Cole, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Marks & Spencer, Massimo Dutti, Michael Kors, Miss Selfridge, Tommy Hilfiger and Zara.

Circuit Makati is a riverfront redevelopment project by Ayala Land on the site of the former Santa Ana Race Track in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. The 21 hectare site located in the northwest portion of Makati, on the south bank of the Pasig River, is planned to contain a mixed-used entertainment complex which would include an indoor theater, a shopping mall, hotels and residential and office skyscrapers. It would be also contain a football turf, skatepark and an outdoor entertainment area. The development is envisioned to become the new entertainment district of Makati and the city lifestyle hub.

As I walk inside Ayala Malls Circuit this huge hall greeted me. This 4 level open air atrium feels like a first among all the mall I have visited so far. And it is such a welcome surprise.

As I walk toward the middle of the mall the alfresco area continues in wards. Ayala malls designs always incorporate a balance of alfresco and air conditioned areas in their malls. In the long run it is good for the environment for it will have less electrical energy requirement.

The alfresco ares continues inwards right until the other side of the mall. Here you mall guest can enjoy the sight of the fountains and pools of water in the middle. I know what you are thinking... swimming is not allowed no matter how inviting the pool may be...

In the al fresco side of the mall is where the restaurants are at as well. There are a variety to choose from. These restaurant provides a better ambiance than that of the shops found in doors and makes for a better dining experience. Some shops even offer an al fresco dinning, giving guest the chance to feel the breeze and enjoy the outdoors

Now lets go to the airconditioned side of the mall where all the shopping takes place. Local and international brands are present in the mall so you will not go home empty handed. The mall has a MI Department store as their achor tenant. Aside from shopping they also have an entertainment hall indoors where events can be held at. The mall also has the Shopwise Supermarket as another anchor tenant


On the 2nd level of the mall is the food choices food court. Though the time we were there there was not a lot of choices, for most of the food stalls have yet to open

The Ayala malls Circuit is a pet friendly mall. However There is this side of the mall where your pets are off limits. Its at the roof deck And you'll see why... On the roof deck is an open park and in the middle of the park there's a faux grass where mall goers can sit and enjoy the sun. During the time of our visit right before sunset. Theres a good crowd longuing there. And on the other side you can take a glimpse of the Makati skyline. It is always an awesome sight to see.

On the roof deck is where you'll find the 4 cinemas. and a huge timezone which has a lot of games bollards and even bowling

The Manila Metro Rail Transit System, also known as the MRT Line 3 is a rapid transit system of Metro Manila, Philippines, and is composed of a single line that runs along the north and south lanes of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA). The thirteen-station, 16.9-kilometer (10.5 mi) line was the second rapid transit line to be built in Metro Manila when it started full operations in 2000 and now serves 550,000 passengers daily.

The MRT-3 is open from 5:30AM until 11:00PM on weekdays, and 5:30AM until 10:00 pm during weekends and holidays.

Glorietta is a landmark 4 Level shopping mall in the Ayala Center, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines with a total retail floor area of 250,000 square meters. The mall is owned by the Zobel de Ayala family and operated through its holding company, the Ayala Corporation. The mall is divided into five sections named Glorietta 1–5 and contains over 500 shops and restaurants, as well as cinemas, a gym, arcades and a large central activity center, often used to stage events. The mall is walking distance from the following 5 star Makati Hotels: Shangri-La Makati, Peninsula Manila, Dusit, Fairmont, Raffles Residences, New World Hotel.

In 2010, Glorietta 1 and 2 were demolished for redevelopment with a new mall, hotel (Holiday Inn and Fairmont ) BPO offices and condos (Park Terraces and Garden Terraces). Glorietta 1 was opened in November 5, 2012 with a new activity center, as Glorietta 2 opened in December 7. Glorietta 3 is planned to be demolished to finalize a redeveloped Glorietta mall complex, hailed as the crown jewel of Ayala.

New Glorietta Ayala Center Makati is the newly renovated mall of Ayala and has 3 floors with a sky roof at the main event hall which hosted the Move to the Vibe Fashion show. It is located beside the new Holiday Inn & Suites and has new restaurants like Watami by the Bistro Group and a new branch of Wee Nam Kee. Electronics stores from Park Square will also be transferring in 2013 as Park Square will be demolished and redeveloped. Shoe stores will also be relocating back to the new Glorietta from Glorietta 5. Glorietta is a large shopping mall in the Ayala Center, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. The mall is owned by the Zobel de Ayala family and operated through its holding company, the Ayala Corporation. The mall is divided into five sections (named Glorietta 1–5) and contains many shops and restaurants, as well as cinemas, a gym, arcades and a large central activity center, often used to stage special events.

Glorietta 1-4 is integrated with the nearby Greenbelt Mall, SM Makati, Rustan's Makati and The Landmark, a department store. Glorietta 5 is fully detached, located in front of Hotel InterContinental Manila and beside Rustan's Department Store.

Ayala Center Makati Drive Glorietta Greenbelt Rustans. The Ayala Center is a recreational, shopping, dining, and entertainment development located in the heart of Makati. Its location places it virtually at the heart of the country's commercial and business center. It is bounded by Ayala Avenue on the east, Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) on the south, Arnaiz Avenue on the west, and to north by Legazpi Street and Paseo de Roxas. The Ayala MRT Station of the MRT Line 3 serves the area. The development originally started with a number of separate shopping arcades and Greenbelt Park before expanding to cover over 50 hectares of facilities. Today the complex now includes several malls, each with its own shopping and restaurant arcades and cinemas; three department stores, a number of hotels; and the Ayala Museum, showcasing exhibits on Philippine history and art.
