Aylestone Meadows, Leicester
I filmed this yesterday while I went for a little walk, since it's local and has some good spots and opportunities for filming.
So this is it for the series of uploads today! I know the cinematography isn't the most popular part of the channel, but it's always something fun to do.
Short update, hopefully getting some locations out of Leicester soon, but I think I've got one last Leicester location to visit before I venture off to different cities. (this isn't a definite, but it's looking positive so far) But, since I don't upload almost everyday, make sure to check out other channels of people who almost do! We leave the gentle midlands countryside, with its farms, fields and woods, and pass through the Leicester suburbs of Wigston, Glen Parva and Aylestone, before passing the huge weir and joining the River Soar at Freeman Meadows Lock, finally arriving in central Leicester to moor for the night.
Warning: big rant about the Canal and River Trust's ridiculous Living Bank policy of planting reed beds all along the canal.

I think this was about my 5th Flight with the Q500, so far. This is raw footage. I have been experimenting with different camera settings. All of the settings produce slightly different results. Frame rate was set at 25frames per second with auto exposure set, and an HD resolution. The background sound is the 'raw sound' of the drone itself. Sometimes it can be quite interesting to hear it. If the sound annoys you, I would suggest muting your sound whilst viewing.. lol. On this flight it was quite gusty at times, hence the slightly rough landing. Decided to land properly, and to try not catch it with my hands this time. ;)
I am still a little cautious about taking it higher and further. Next time maybe.
Though only a beginner pilot, I find this hobby to be extremely therapeutic to both mind and body. It is has a fairly short learning curve, and the rewards, both whilst in flight, and, subsequently viewing the footage after, are a real pleasure. Since these drones first came on the market, I have always wanted one. I just hope all of my future flights are as, successful and safe. Still need a lot of practice panning and positioning the camera during flight. A little smoother and not so heavy handed is whats needed. Practice. ;)

After three year snow come in liecester
Heavy snow is causing significant problems across Leicestershire today.
Most of the county is covered with forecasters suggesting it won't stop snowing until late this evening.
Many dusted off their sledges and went to Bradgate Park but others faced significant problems as public transport struggled to cope with the snow.
We'll have every update here as the county deals with its first real snowfall in years.
East Midlands Airport runway is was shut by the snowfall, but has since re-opened
Some roads are running well but others are totally impassable
Buses were temporarily suspended
Events, including the Christmas Market, have been cancelled
A number of schools have announced that they will not be open on Monday
