Munakkal Beach is a beach in Azhikode, Thrissur of Thrissur District in Kerala State. It is the largest beach in Thrissur District and lies on the coast of Arabian Sea. The beach is situated 7 kilometers from Kodungallur town.
Facilities
The beach was developed under the tsunami rehabilitation programme by Harbour Engineering Department. A 400-metre open-air auditorium, 1300 metre walkway, toilets, food courts, skateboarding grip for children and a rain shelter are the major attractions of the beach. A casuarina forest set up by the Kerala Forest Department is another added attraction

district of Kerala, South India. The nearest
towns are Kodungallur and Paravoor.Azikode
is a part of Kodungallur taluk. Azhikode has a
beach known as the munakkal beach. It has
got the vast shore stretch around 3 km along
the main beach side.lt is the main attraction
of this village. The main economic activity is
fishing.
You can see backwaters, Chinese fishing nets, pineforest, sunset view and kite flying, sand bikes,childrens park, toilet, shops,parking options are available.
I think this is one of a best beach for couple'sphotography, as I seen many shootings were happened during the sunset. Only one drawback iswaves are rough so you can't swim, otherwise it is a better place for all age groups

കേരളത്തിലെ തൃശ്ശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ തെക്കു പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ഭാഗത്തു സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഗ്രാമമാണു അഴീക്കോട് . കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂർ താലൂക്കിലെ, എറിയാട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ ഭരണപരിധിയിലാണ് അഴീക്കോട് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നത്. കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂരും, പറവൂരുമാണ് അടുത്ത പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ. മത്സ്യബന്ധനമാണ് പ്രധാന വരുമാനമാർഗ്ഗം.
എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ മുനമ്പത്തുനിന്ന് അഴീക്കോട്ടേക്ക് ജങ്കാർ സർവ്വിസുണ്ട്. അഴീക്കോട്-ചാമക്കാല റോഡും നിലവിലുണ്ട്. കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂർ നിന്നും അഴീക്കോട്ടേക്ക് കാര, എറിയാട്, പടാകുളം, ചേരമാൻ, അഞ്ചപ്പാലം എന്നീ അഞ്ചു വഴികളിലൂടെ ബസ് സർവ്വീസുണ്ട്.
അഴിമുഖത്ത് രൂപപ്പെടുന്ന മണൽതിട്ട മത്സ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികൾക്ക് ഭയമുളവാക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഈ മണൽതിട്ട നീക്കം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി കരയിൽ നിന്നും കടലിലേക്ക് 'പുലിമുട്ട്' അഥവാ 'ഒലിമുട്ട്' എന്ന കടൽപാലം നിർമ്മിച്ചു. അഴിമുഖത്തേക്ക് നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുന്ന കടൽപ്പാലത്തിന്റെ ഒരുഭാഗത്ത് മണ്ണ് അടിഞ്ഞുകൂടി പുതിയ കരപ്രദേശം രൂപം കൊണ്ടു. ഇന്നത്തെ വിശാലമായ മുനക്കൽബീച്ച് രൂപം കൊണ്ടത് അങ്ങനെയാണ്.
