NAGANO PREFECTURE - Visiting a Wasabi Farm!
We left Yamanashi Prefecture and headed to Nagano Prefecture where we visited Sinano Winery, had a soba lunch, visited the amazing Daio Wasabi Farm & met the Wasabi Master, finished up with the Azumino Winery before dinner at a Japanese/Italian restaurant and a stay at Hotel JAL City Nagano.

The most beautiful winery in NAGANO PREFECTURE!
On the last day in Nagano Prefecture we started the day with a delicious buffet breakfast with an amazing panoramic view at Hotel JAL City. We then headed up to the breathtaking St. Cousair Winery nestled in the mountainous Kamiminochi District in Izzuna, Nagano. The view from there was mindblowing, even at -11 degrees! We finished off the trip with a famous Ekiben from Nagano Station!

A catholic monastery in Japan's Gifu prefecture. Situated in Tajimi City of Gifu prefecture, this monastery has a winery and vast grape yard. Every November, they hold a wine festival when people from many parts of Japan visit this place and enjoy their white and red wine.

This winery has been in operation for more than a century since 1909. Today, varieties of grapes are grown in vineyards stretching across 25 hectares. We focus on using only grapes from our own vineyards, adhering to our ironclad rule of growing each variety in the soil that suits it best. Our wines are literally created from the ground up.
