Buses In Victoria, BC (Volume Fifteen)
The long-overdue fifteenth volume of buses in Greater Victoria!
Mostly BC Transit - featuring new arrivals such as the 2015-built NovaBus LFS buses, 1998 and 1996 D40LF transfers from small communities, and a few 2001-2002 Dennis Dart/Plaxton Pointers. At the end of the video is the elusive Enviro 500H double decker, the only Hybrid double-decker bus in North America to date.
TofinoBus, Greyhound and Wilsons get small features too - and even the latter's then-new but ill-fated 'Langtoria Greenline' commuter bus is seen too!

Butchart Gardens and Victoria via BC Ferries and BC Transit on Easter Weekend 2017
An overnight trip to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada without a car.
This is a full Vlog with time points and costs. We parked our car at Tsawwassen, BC ferry terminal. Planned on parking at the longterm parking lot but it was full. Had to park at a short term parking lot instead which is more expensive but still was cheaper than paying to ferry our car across to Vancouver Island.
The public transportation include roundtrip rides on BC Ferry. There's no reservation required for walk-on passengers. There's food onboard with reasonable price.
We got around on Vancouver Island using BC Transit day-pass which cost $5 CDN per person.
The Butchart Gardens was beautiful even though the roses are out yet. The dinner at the Fish Store at the Fisherman's Wharf was fabulous. We got there by Water Taxi. The sunset filled walk back was really nice.
Catching the bus back to Swartz Bay ferry terminal was a breeze. It costs only $2.50 CDN per person.
We had some snacks onboard the Spirit of Vancouver Island ferry then a delicious late lunch at Yaohan Shopping Center. There was time to do some shopping the MacArther Designer Outlet by the Vancouver Airport.
Please enjoy the Vlog and let us know what you think.

Buses in Victoria, BC (Volume Eight)
Reuploaded with previously unused footage - Victoria Regional Transit System and Cowichan Valley Commuter buses seen in various places throughout Greater Victoria! Downtown, Brentwood Bay, Royal Oak Exchange, Uptown, Sidney and McTavish Exchange are included in this video. All clips were filmed in 2011, between January and October.
BC Transit Victoria NextRide Demonstration Bus
This is the first time I've been on a bus in Victoria (NovaBus 9380) with live next stop/current stop information. Vancouver has had this system as long as I can remember, so it's nice to see it in Victoria. The system does have its flaws: the Stop Requested sign is limited to being in the middle of the bus over the rear entry. This means that those in the front have to turn around to see if a stop was requested. There is a suspiciously large space on the right of the stop display, which is where the word STOP appears on Vancouver buses. I'm sure the system will improve with time. This was not the official NextRide demo bus, which is currently wrapped with a BC Transit Transit NextRide Demo Bus livery.
This was a Number 26 Westbound caught at Oakwinds and McKenzie.

Transit at UVic Exchange - March 2015
This is a video of buses at UVic Exchange in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This footage was intended to be a part of a Buses in Victoria, BC - Volume Fifteen which I have postponed until a later date for various reasons.
This was all filmed on March 13th, 2015. All buses included are BC Transit buses, allocated to Victoria Regional Transit System.
This is the first video I have produced with the newly improved UVic Exchange which opened in mid-2014.

Buses in Victoria, BC (Volume Thirteen)
The thirteenth volume of buses in the Greater Victoria area of British Columbia, Canada. This volume was filmed between April and August 2013 and features Western Exchange in Colwood, Uptown Mall in Saanich, Langford Exchange, and Ogden Point in James Bay. Ogden Point sees the most variety in the whole of Greater Victoria due to the multiple tour bus operators as well as BC Transit's route 31.
This video also shows the last few remaining 2-stroke New Flyer D40LFs in service. They are now all retired.
