BWI Airport Bike Trail - Maryland
This video give you a look at the 11 mile bike path around the BWI (Baltimore Washington International) airport. There is a surprising amount if nature along this trail. There are horses next to the Ferndale Middle School. There is a terrific lookout over the airport, a nice place for a picnic.
The path is 11 miles and takes about two hours. There a couple small hills that are easier to take if you ride counter clockwise around the airport.
A good place to park is on Dorsey road at the Dixon observation area.

Baltimore Bicycling - Middle Branch Trail from Stadium Area to Harbor Hospital (Full Ride)
For the month of December, I am planning on posting at least one video every other day instead of every 3 days like I have been. I have a lot of backlog to get through, and also Happy Holidays I suppose.
Watch in HD! 1080p
I took off work for the day after Thanksgiving, so I planned out some rides to take advantage of the free time and light traffic. In this installment, I traveled the full length of the Middle Branch Trail (plus some extra at the beginning since I start at the stadium area). This trail shows some wonderful views of the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River (hence the name), and provides access to South Baltimore and parts of northern Anne Arundel County and BWI Airport via connecting streets and trails. I plan on continuing down to the County in a future video. I start in the stadium area (Camden Yards) and travel through the neighborhoods of Westport and Cherry Hill, as well as spending significant time traveling through Middle Branch Park. Filmed on November 29, 2019, around 11am.

Cycling the BWI Trail with a GoPro
As part of my training for my race on 18 October, I did 1 CCW lap around the BWI trai with a fork-mounted GoPro at x8 speed. Few minutes of watching the planes take-off and land for good measure. Soundtrack by Lance Neptune.

B&A bike trail - Maryland
The B&A bike trail in Ann Arundel county, Maryland goes between the BWI airport and Annapolis. It is 13 miles long. A great place to park is behind Marley Station Mall. It's a great beginner's trail. It's fairly flat and straight from the Mall, South to Annapolis. It does get steep as you approach Route 50. We usually turn around at this point and return to the mall. This distance round trip is 18 miles but feels like only four.

Baltimore Bike Ride - Jones Falls, Druid Hill, West Baltimore, Downtown
Afternoon bike ride in Baltimore, MD, USA
We started in East Harbor area and connected to Jones Falls Trail. Reached Druid Lake and rode around it. In Druid Hill park we enjoyed Wednesday afternoon farmers market and concert. We continued towards Cold Springs, and started to go back through Cold Spring Ln, Belle Ave, Garrison Blvd, Clifton Ave. The idea was to ride back through Gwynns Falls Trail. By the time we got to Gwynns Falls / Leakin Park it was already too dark, so we got a lift to downtown, where we continued to ride back along the waterfront towards East Harbor.

Baltimore is a major city in Maryland with a long history as an important seaport. Fort McHenry, birthplace of the U.S. national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” sits at the mouth of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Today, this harbor area offers shops, upscale crab shacks and attractions like the Civil War–era warship the USS Constellation and the National Aquarium, showcasing thousands of marine creatures.
Baltimore is a popular tourist destination in Maryland, in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States of America, near Washington, D.C. It is perhaps most famously known historically as the city where Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics for the Star Spangled Banner during the Battle of Baltimore of the War of 1812. Today it has become a major center for tourism and travel. Local highlights include excellent seafood (steamed blue crabs, raw oysters, Maryland crab cakes, and Maryland crab soup) and Camden Yards (the first retro major league ball park and where the Baltimore Orioles play). Baltimore possesses a vibrant arts scene with the largest free arts festival in the US (Artscape) occurring annually in July, a renowned arts museum American Visionary Arts Museum that is dedicated to outsider art, and the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins. It is also home to Johns Hopkins University, Morgan State University, University of Baltimore, Loyola University, Goucher College, and the Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Baltimore has an absolutely staggering number of officially designated neighborhoods, Inner Harbor, If you are a tourist, you come here. Fells Point could not be more complementary to the Inner Harbor—historic. An incongruous mix of Baltimore's central business district, the University of Maryland-Baltimore, the awe inspiring Lexington Market, the infamously seedy Block, and the Bromo Arts District.
One of the nicest sections of the city, home to the performing arts district, Penn Station, and a host of other attractions (Walters Art Museum, the original Washington Monument, dining and wining on Charles St, the University of Baltimore, Station North Arts District etc.) that most visitors foolishly pass over. South Baltimore
Industrial blue-collar South Baltimore is dying, and is quickly being replaced with upscale gentrified neighborhoods like Federal Hill.
Most visitors to the area know only Johns Hopkins University and the always interesting commercial strip along Charles St nearby. But it is unfortunate that they overlook the quirkiest of quirky neighborhoods, Hampden. Infamous West Baltimore. If you have watched the Wire, this was where the crime was taking place! But don't be fooled. There are some major tourist draws here, like the Maryland Zoo in Druid Hill Park, Pimlico Racecourse, and Edgar Allen Poe's House.Baltimore's great rivalry between east and west is certainly an example of the narcissism of small differences. Attractions in the east are very few and far between, but things are changing fast as booming Johns Hopkins Medical Campus expands and demolishes in its wake.

This is a taste of the Cross Island bike trail, Kent Island, Maryland. The Kent Island High school is on Rt 8, about a mile north of Rt 50. It's the 1st exit once you cross over the Chesapeake bay bridge.
From the High school you can bike West. There is a 3 mile loop. We biked East, three miles to where there are several restaurants on the water. This is an easy, six mile long ride with lunch in the middle. It's about 45 minutes to the Jetty (Kent Narrows).
