Video shot with my Sony TRV-22 MiniDV Handicam, on November 2017. Not really showing too much here, I was just seeing how the camera operated in slightly colder temps, it did fine. It was around 1 to 2 Celcius that day.

Just a video showing parts of BX Falls and the walkways and also the creek areas. There was a kids tour right at the falls, so I never got up close to the falls themselves. This video was shot on a re-used Maxell mini-dv tape which is 10 years old. The camcorder I was using is a Sony TRV-DCR22. SP mode.

Hiking to BX Falls, Vernon B.C. Canada. Falls is covered in snow but still managed to get there. Beautiful down there. We wanted to go again to monitor the flow of water.
Think Before You Drink - Okanagan Landing Elem. in Vernon, Gr. 1
Okanagan WaterWise and the Okanagan Basin Water Board (OBWB) are pleased to announce the winners of this year's Okanagan WaterWise Challenge as part of Drinking Water Week festivities being celebrated across B.C., May 4 to 10.
This year, OkWaterWise invited Okanagan classrooms to submit a multimedia entry with the theme MAP YOUR TAP! -- encouraging youth to trace their water, from source to tap, and tell us why it's important to conserve and protect it, and show what people can do to help.
Uta Van Ziffle's Grade 1 class at Okanagan Landing Elementary in Vernon submitted this sweet skit Think Before You Drink, showing the water cycle, with 6 and 7-year-olds acting as snowflakes and raindrops falling in streams, making their way through pipes and into a house.

swarmed by little fish!! underwater at Kalamalka Lake, Vernon BC
Kalamalka Lake has some big trout in it, usually they are caught in the cold winter months when they rise close to the surface to feed on bait-fish. I don't think that 20 - 30+ pound trout feed on little shiners, probably they eat kokanee, but the smaller trout and kokanee eat shiners...all part of the food chain.
It's cool to see inside our local fresh water lakes and see what lurks below the surface.
Sony HDR XR550 made for a man, but easy enough for a woman to use. lol
