B24 Liberator engine run. Werribee, Vic. Australia
During a visit to the B24 Liberator Restoration Group site at Werribee I filmed this engine test run. You can visit the web site at If you are in a position to visit it is well worth the effort as the amount of progress is absolutely fascinating. The dedication of this group in their efforts to restore the aircraft is as no doubt as demanding and frustrating as any such group in the world!

B 24 Liberator Restoration Australia, Werribee Victoria, Engine start and run up.. SUCCESS
The Engine did start, throughout the video the engine does not actually sound as loud as it was when we were there in person, perhaps with our position behind the engine and the prop-wash may have taken an affect on the microphone....in all, she ran quite smooth... Although they used a Test prop, the blades were roughly 3/4 the size of the normal one's and the blast was really quite powerfull.....Very impressive, for people local to Melbourne, the static display of the aircraft is really worth a look at...
