Vlog 14 - Nha Trang, Vietnam. A short stop in this incredibly busy, Russian filled city of Vietnam...
It's true, there are so many Russians that come here on holiday, many of the restaurants have menus in Russian too! With Russian owners!
We spent a few days here and experienced some cool things...
Ba Ho Waterfall
Nice trail walk through a forest / jungle, leading towards a beautiful waterfall, suitable for swimming in too!
You'll see a lot of wildlife on route, many types of lizards, dragonfly and giant red ants! Not the easiest access to the waterfall at the end, scaling across rocks and narrow ledges at times... but worth the struggle!
Tran Phu Beach
If you are visiting Nha Trang, you won't be able to miss this big long beach! The waves were strong around the time of our visit back in February, not ideal for children swimming! Many bars and restaurants along the front, the sand was nice too, much better condition than the beach at Hoi An.
VinPearl Theme Park
We had NO IDEA what to expect at Vinpearl other than knowing they had a few rides and a waterpark!
Firstly, what a cool experience having to cross the cable car to the Island. It felt so special approaching Vinpearl, like a whole new world apart from Nha Trang. Some of the architecture around the island looked incredible from above... almost like Hogworts from Harry Potter!
Upon arrival, it was raining so no park rides were open... we were recommended to go visit the 'bird area' which turned out to be a zoo. Lots of wild animals in small, enclosed pens. Not nice to see if we are honest!
Monkeys, Rhinos and Tigers... all looking incredibly bored and trapped. Highly recommend avoiding this so called 'attaction' if visiting Vinpearl.
As the rain improved, so did our mood. We went to check out the greenhouses / gardens section of Vinpearl. Beautifully kept, lots of amazing flowers to admire.
Once the rain subsided, we decided to go down to the waterpark... they had a handful of decent water rides here, some were sides for single riders only, others for groups / couples. We tried them all out, there are some really quick slides here at vinpearl! No camera allowed during any of the slides... so no footage of these I'm afraid.
On our way back to the theme park, we noticed they had a Wibit (giant outdoor blow up water assault course) situated out on the ocean. What fun this was! We endured an hour or so clambering around the Wibit, so many laughs to be had on these things... BONUS footage at the end of this vlog if you are up for a laugh at our expense haha!
We managed to squeeze in a couple of the amusement rides but theres not many at Vinpearl. Luckily we spent much of our time at the waterpark.
All in all, we had a decent time in Nha Trang. Ba Ho Waterfall was fun, as was the Beach and of course the waterpark at Vinpearl too.
We tried lots of street food and felt comfortable with all the food offerings in Nha Trang.
Next stop; Dalat, Vietnam. So much to share, can't wait! Until next time! Tom & Laura x
