Aligarh (UP), Aug 26 (ANI): India has a great history of Sufism that evolved around 1000 years ago. A number of Sufi saints from across the world, got settled in India and spread the message of peace and harmony. Baba Barchi Bahadur, a Muslim saint whose Dargah is situated in the Aligarh city of Uttar Pradesh was one among them. Visited by the people from different faiths, today this dargah has become an epitome of communal harmony.

Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, Dec 12 (ANI): Here at Barchi Bahadur Dargah of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, people from all faiths are praying for those who guard the borders of our country and often sacrifice their lives to protect their countrymen from any threats. The shrine is held in high regard by devotees who come from far and wide and from all castes and communities. The Imam of the shrine has spread out a ‘chadar’, a holy cloth at the dargah. Devotees believe prayers for the soldiers will bring peace and stability to the country. Devotees believe that praying at this shrine fulfills all wishes. India is a land of peace and communal harmony. People of various communities live here harmoniously.
