Maine Chandler's cove sailing! with a dog on board
We had a great rental on Chebeague Island, Maine Portland. We saw this sailboat moored with a dog and a couple on board. I later ran ito the guy at the Island Market (Doughty's) - such a coincidence. This video is of their departure. View is to the southeast. They went north around the island...to who knows where. That is roughing it!

How not to visit MAINE: Portland, Bar Harbor, and not enough time - Traveling Robert
Lessons learned about how not to visit a large state like Maine. First we didn't allocate nearly enough time. Second, it was foggy when we went to see the first sunrise in the USA. Third, campground screwed up our reservation. At that point I gave up and decided to go back some other time. Lobster breakfast in Bar Harbor was great.

Back Bay Tower
A protest folk song about Simon Property's attempt to get City of Boston approval for its plan to construct Back Bay Tower on top of the Neiman Marcus department store and to encroach on public space between Copley Square park and Tent City Apartments. (lyrics)
They want to build a tower Forty-seven stories high From the middle of Back Bay Right up to the sky They want to cast a shadow All over Copley Square From luxury apartaments On top of a big store. (chorus) To profit Neiman Marcus And Simon Property Is not sufficient reason For approval by the City.
They want to build a skyscraper Right next to Tent City And clog the streets with trucks And make the air dirty For three long years their cranes Will endanger pedestrians And yet another wind tunnel Will be created at the end. (chorus)
They promise many jobs When they build with borrowed cash But if they can't pay off their debts With a big hole we'll be stuck And none of the apartments Will be affordable to the poor Or even to the workers Who build them with their labor. (chorus)
So if you think your neighborhood Doesn't need their Back Bay Tower And to enclose public space in glass So Neiman Marcus stock can go higher Then it's time to stop this skyscraper From being built on the Copley Mall And to protest as a community And to protest to City Hall. (chorus)

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain

=======
Portland is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Maine, with a population of 67,067 as of 2017. The Greater Portland metropolitan area is home to over half a million people, more than one-third of Maine's total population, making it the most populous metro in northern New England (an area comprising the states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont). Portland is Maine's economic center, with an economy that relies on the service sector and tourism. The Old Port district is a popular destination known for its 19th century architecture and nightlife. Marine industry still plays an important role in the city's economy, with an active waterfront that supports fishing and commercial shipping. The Port of Portland is the largest tonnage seaport in New England. The city has also seen growth in the technology sector, with companies such as WEX building headquarters in the city. The city seal depicts a phoenix rising from ashes, which is a reference to the recoveries from four devastating fires. Portland was named after the English Isle of Portland, Dorset. The city of Portland, Oregon was named after Portland, Maine.
