The Blue City of Bundi, India: Magnificent Moti Mahal Garh Palace

If you have never been to Bundi, try not to miss it. Palaces, and I do mean palaces, are surrounded by fort walls, that stretch into infinity and beyond. Owned by a Maharajah that doesn't doesn't want to fully restore the Moti Mahal, and two other palaces in the next video, they have the most incredibly gorgeous rooms filled to the max with paintings in Bundi style.

Vivid, colorful, story telling paintings on walls, ceilings, gold niches, go on and on. We visited Bundi in February but my camcorder went ka-ka in Bundi and it took forever to edit and smooth clips. I thought it was worth the effort since neither Steve nor I have ever seen such a collection. Enjoy...

Winter 2012/13 with Greg Barton. Bundi was a wonderful city and very relaxing. The people were so friendly and welcoming. Everywhere you look there are weird and funny things to see. The next video will be Udaipur, which is where we went next.
