GING TEA HOUSE | DAY 2 | DARJEELING
My day started at 6:30am. I was supposed to wake up at 5am and catch the golden hours. But I couldn't manage to get my self off the bed as it was raining very heavily.
I managed to go outside by 6:30am and take some amazing pictures and time lapse.
The breakfast prepared by Ging Tea House staff was fabulous. We had Chole Bhatura, Masala Cheese Omlette, Ham, Darjeeling Tea, BBJ (Bread Butter Jam)
We walked down to the Ging Tea Estate at 10am. The walk was very tiring, although it was downhill. If you are not physically fit, I don't recommend you to walk. The manager of the tea estate, Mr. Rajesh Singh was very kind enough to show us the entire tea making process. Paul and Alan invited both of them for dinner later on to the Ging Tea House. They too tried the Ballantines finest and enjoyed the bonfire and food prepared. We returned from the tea estate in the afternoon and had an amazing lunch. For High Tea, we had Chicken Momos (dimsums) with Chai. FYI - I Love Dimsums. We started the training session at 5pm with Paul and Alan, where they demonstrated us the art of blending scotch. It was truly an eye opener for me in terms of what all is involved in blending the Ballantines Finest.
The day proceeded with Clayton Gracious, demonstrating us how we can use Ballantines and create some delicious cocktails. His cocktail recipes were very simple but yet modern and delicious. If you want to know more about Clayton, log on to behindbars24X7.com. It is a beverage consultancy and catering firm.
The Ging Tea House set up a bonfire and played some melodious songs to keep us entertained. The weather was just perfect.
We went to bed at midnight and woke up early morning to go to Tiger Hills to view the breathe taking Kangchenjunga. Sipping on Ballantines 30 year old was the best thing that I have experienced so far.
Overall it was an amazing trip. A trip I will never forget.
Thank You Ballanatines.

Darjeeling Badamtam FTGFOP-1
What a stunning day with full sunshine today. Brewed darjeeling from Badamtam Tea Estate in India. This tea is known for its freshness and flowerly taste, yet I kept it too long. It would taste fresh if I were to drink earlier. Still wonderful though~

Tenzing Rock | Lebong Tea Garden and Valley | Darjeeling Tour | Flying Bird |
Tenzing Rock Overview
Tenzing Rock, a popular tourist hotspot, is one of the only natural rock climbing sites in Darjeeling. This gigantic rock is named after the mountaineer Tenzing Norgay who climbed the Mount Everest with Edmund Hillary in 1953.
If you are a trekking and adventure enthusiast, this place will delight you. You will find a board on the top of the rock that reads “HMI Rock Climbing Training Area”. There are two sides of Tenzing Rock that are used for trekking. The left side is used by the professional rock climbers or those who are training to be professionals. The view from here is incredible; it overlooks roads that are far below the rock. Regular tourists, however, can try the right side which is easier to climb. With the help of guides at the tourist location, you will be able to find the right side to climb this exotic rock.
This Tenzing Rock is used by the Indian Army for annual rock climbing competitions. In 2010, a candidate broke the record for having climbed the gigantic rock in just 35 seconds.
Avoid visiting this place during the monsoons as the surface gets quite slippery. A 20-minute taxi drive from Darjeeling to here can make your trip truly special.
Lebong Tea Garden and Valley
Lebong is a valley about 1,000 feet (300 m) below Darjeeling town, West Bengal, India. It is about 8 km from the Mall, the central location of Darjeeling. The valley is noted for its race course. The Lebong race course is visible from the town of Darjeeling.
Lebong is also the place where initial tea plantation of the Darjeeling hills started in the 1850s. It is also famous for Gorkha stadium located there. Other places of importance in Lebong are Golai Bazaar, Lebong Cricket Bazaar. Lebong Valley has Tea Gardens like Ging, Badamtam, Phoobshering.
