Bagan Temples Are CLOSED?! | Myanmar's Most Famous Sight Is Changing (HONEST REVIEW)
The iconic Bagan temples in Myanmar are a must see for any world traveller. But what is Bagan REALLY like to visit in 2020?
The experience of exploring the ruined temples is not what it used to be. Climbing temples to find rooftop views is becoming a thing of the past, with most temples now locked up and restricted to tourists.
But can you still find temples in Bagan with rooftop viewpoints? And should you STILL visit Bagan? We spent 3 days exploring the plains to find out.

We COULDN'T BELIEVE Our Eyes! | The Best Temples In Bagan, Myanmar
Looking for the best temples in Bagan, Myanmar? We spent 5 days in the ancient city and made it our goal to visit them all! It’s a fact—no image, video, or memory of Bagan, Myanmar can come close to portraying the magic that quite literally smacks you in the face upon arrival. Jaws were dropped, goosebumps were raised, tears were shed—this place is no joke.
We rented e-bikes for 4,000 kyat per person/per day in New Bagan and headed out on a full day, self-guided adventure, stopping off at all of the major players (Thatbyinnyu Temple, Ananda Temple, Dhammayangyi Temple, etc.) while making sure to cruise through the smaller, distant temples that you can claim all to yourselves (the latter was much more our style). Entrance to the historical region costs 25,000 kyat for foreigners, a small fee considering you’re good for 5-day unlimited use. You better believe we used every last day. :)

Hi friends! We’re Braden & Taylor, a newlywed couple from California living with a BAD case of the travel bug. In Fall 2018, we quit our jobs, sold our belongings, and packed two tiny suitcases to find out what it truly means to live life to the fullest. First and foremost, we vlog for ourselves — our channel is a living picture book of the memories we collect over the next months and years around the globe, traveling to over 60 countries by 2020. If there’s a place we haven’t been, it’s on our list!
Secondly, we document our life on the road for family, friends and strangers alike — if our videos help pass on the travel influenza, then we’ve done our job. ???? We don’t know where this trip will take us, but we promise to ourselves and to you that we will always present both the beautiful and the ugly, because no trip is perfect, and neither is our world. Don’t be shy — send us a shout out when we’re in your area, and be sure to subscribe + hit the bell to be notified of future videos!

MYANMAR - BAGAN TEMPLES (Full HD)
Bagan (formerly Pagan) is an ancient city located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar . From the 9th to 13th centuries, the city was the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan, the first kingdom to unify the regions that would later constitute modern Myanmar. During the kingdom's height between the 11th and 13th centuries, over 10,000 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in the Bagan plains alone, of which the remains of over 2200 temples and pagodas still survive to the present day.
The Bagan Archaeological Zone is a main draw for the country's nascent tourism industry. It is seen by many as equal in attraction to Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Bagan - The Ancient City of Temples.
In this episode of A Broad Abroad, on Yahoo Travel, Paula Froelich heads to Bagan, Myanmar, an ancient city that has over 3000 temples.
Can You Climb Any Pagodas In Bagan (2019)? | Bagan, Myanmar
Our most anticipated city in Myanmar, we made it to Bagan to explore the ancient pagodas and temples dotted throughout the landscape. Staying in the most incredible hotel in the Old Bagan area, we explored temples today and tried to scout out any climbable temples in Bagan. After hiring a tuk-tuk driver to take us to all the best spots, we found incredible views of the skyline, and managed to climb supposedly the last pagoda you can get to the top of in Bagan! It wasn't EXACTLY as we expected though..

Bagan in Central Myanmar has about 2200 amazing Buddhist temples
Some years ago I was struck by the beauty, the sheer size and number of the monuments, when I saw a documentary of Lonely Planet about Bagan in Myanmar. One thing I knew for sure: That's a place I want to go.
To me Bagan is the apex of a civilization, like for instance Angkor in Cambodia. These people created an amazing 2.224 Buddhist monuments, dating from Bagan's Golden Period (1044 -- 1287) with such a simple means.
I stayed in Bagan for thirteen days and visited and photographed almost all of the interesting Buddhist monuments and temples. I hope this unique HD movie with the wonderful music of Deuter's Buddha nature will transmit some of the awe and wonder I felt walking around at one of the most wonderful sacred sites on this planet I have visited.

Bagan Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Bagan in Myanmar.
Bagan is a famous royal city in today’s Myanmar that is full of myth and legend. In the days of the legendary Birman monarchy the metropolis covered an area of forty square kilometres and today the numerous majestic buildings of Bagan provide an unforgettable insight into its history. The development of the city was not only influenced by logical planning but was also designed according to religious and mystical ideals and was eventually built to reflect the structure of the Buddhist cosmos. The impressive temple complexes were designed to be a “paradise on earth”, a place that lay between Earth and the realm of the gods. As the first Burmese kingdom expanded the former territories of the Mon Tribe were gradually conquered. However, militarily the Mon Tribe proved to be inferior to that of the rising realm of Bagan. The Burmese troops captured not only many precious cultural and religious treasures but also more than thirty thousand prisoners from the capital of the Mon Thaton. Almost the entire spiritual elite of the Mon were brought to Bagan and the captured monks, scholars, master builders, blacksmiths and stone masons soon determined the character of the Burmese capital. The city’s temple ruins and sanctuaries are still worshipped in today and have a mystical appeal. Although archaeologists and historians have revealed much of the history of this fascinating metropolis it is likely that part of the splendid history of Bagan will remain a mystery forever.
