Bagdat Avenue in Istanbul | Bağdat Caddesi | Istanbul Travel Guide

The Bağdat Avenue (Turkish: Bağdat Caddesi) is stretching between Kadıköy and Maltepe districts on the Asian Side of Istanbul. But the most important part of the avenue, is between Kızıltoprak to Bostancı. I started from Göztepe and walked until Suadiye, the main shopping and dining area.

This Street in Istanbul, which is decorated with old plane trees is full of elegant shops, restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, stores and banks. The Bağdat Caddesi and district is a residential area, but the Avenue is also a commercial place. And most of the people walking, eating and shopping in the video are living near the Bagdat Street in walking distance. The Caddebostan Beach and Park with walking, jogging and cycling paths, playgrounds and beaches is also near the Bağdat Street. There are many cloth, jewellery and cosmetics shops and multi-storey stores such as Boyner and Marks & Spencer.

Bagdat Street Istanbul 2019 | Bağdat Caddesi | Istanbul Travel Guide

Today's Istanbul Walk takes place on the famous Bagdat Street. A sunny sunday in March 2019, I started from Göztepe and walked until Suadiye, the main shopping and dining area, on one side of the Bagdat Street and walked back on the other side. It was crowded, because we had a nice weather and it was Sunday. But the walk was still enjoyable. The Bağdat Avenue (Turkish: Bağdat Caddesi) is stretching between Kadıköy and Maltepe districts on the Asian Side of Istanbul. The most popular part of the street is between Kızıltoprak to Bostancı neighbourhoods.

This avenue in Istanbul is decorated with old and big plane trees. There are many elegant shops, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, stores and also banks. The Bağdat Caddesi area is a residential part of Istanbul, but the avenue is also a commercial place. And most of the people walking, eating and shopping in this video are living near the Bagdat Street in mostly walking distance. There is also a small Beach, which is called Caddebostan Beach (plaj) and big Park on the sea side with walking, jogging and cycling paths.
