बाघ गुफाएं(बौद्ध गुफाए ), धार से लगभग 97 किमी. की दूरी पर स्थित है बाघ गुफाओं में अजंता की गुफाओं के समान पेंटिग और मूर्तियां रखी हुई हैं जो अलौकिक सादृश्य प्रदान करती हैं। बाघ गुफाएं, नौ स्मारकों का एक समूह है जिन्हे चट्टानों को काटकर बनाया गया है। यह गुफा, भित्ति चित्रों के लिए खासी प्रसिद्ध है, धार की गुफा पूरे भारत में चट्टान में की गई खुदाई का सबसे बड़ा उदाहरण है जिसे वास्तुकला का अद्भूत नमूना माना जाता है।
अंजता गुफाओं की तरह, बाघ गुफाओं में भी एक धारा के तट में कारीगरों द्वारा खुदाई की गई है। बाघ गुफा का अधिकाश: भाग भागीनि से प्रेरित लगता है और यहां गुप्त काल के दौरान बुद्ध जीवन शैली का अर्क भी नजर आता है। यह गुफाएं विहारा या मठों की तरह है जिनमें छोटे चैम्बर्स के अलावा एक प्रार्थना हॉल भी है।
बिना किसी भ्रम के, यह जगह यहां आने वाले पर्यटकों के लिए खास है। इतिहास प्रेमी और पुरातत्व प्रेमियों के लिए बाघ गुफाएं किसी सौगात से कम नहीं हैं।

The Bagh Caves are a group of nine rock-cut monuments, situated among the southern slopes of the Vindhyas in Bagh town of Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh state in central India.These monuments are located at a distance of 97 km from Dhar town. These are renowned for mural paintings by master painters of ancient India. The use of the word cave is a bit of a misnomer, since these are not natural, but instead examples of Indian rock-cut architecture.

India’s second dinosaur fossil park Dhar ( 65 million years ago)

On the recommendation of Madhya Pradesh Wildlife Board, the Madhya Pradesh Government is establishing a National Dinosaur Fossil Park in Dhar district of the state. A notification to this effect was issued on December 2 last, an official spokesman said.
According to the spokesman near the Bagh area of Dhar district, fossils of more than 100 dinosaur eggs were found in the year 2006, which was a rare achievements from the point of view of science. Scientists have estimated these fossils to be around 7 crore to 6.5 crore years old.
Apart from eggs, fossils of dinosaur nests have also been found in the area. In the year 2003, a US scientist had identified fossils of a massive dinosaur, which was named as “Rajasaurus Narmdensis”.
The National Dinosaur Fossil Park will be spread over 89.740 hectare forest area near Bagh Caves in Dhar forest division and is situated about 80 kilometers away from the district headquarters Dhar in Kukshi tehsil on Bagh-Jobat Road.

Friendship Day Ride we started it on saturday 5th. Our destination for the day was Bagh Caves which are 150 kms away from Indore we reached their in 3 hrs after lots of fun, Photoshoots and some fun other stuff and then we seen the caves and story of it is also good and then we returned and in return we had our Ride converted in worst ride because one of our ride left for home before us and then he just met with an accident which was horrible the bike was totally destroyed but good news is that our ride friend is safe and he was some minor injuries. So all the ride was good we enjoyed it and everyone is safe Home. so please be safe ride safe.

Dosto bagh ki gufao ke karan hi yaha base ganw ko bagh ganw or pas me bahne vali nadi ko bagh nadi ken am se jana jata hai. Dosto in gufao ka nirman vishv prasidh anjata elora ki gufao ki tarj par kia gaya tha.

अजन्ता और एलोरा गुफाओं की तर्ज पर ही बाघ गुफाएं बनी हुई हैं। इन गुफाओं में बनी प्राचीन चित्रकारी मनुष्य को आश्चर्य में डाल देती है। इन गुफाओं की खोज 1818 में डेन्जर फील्ड ने की थी। माना जाता है कि दसवीं शताब्दी में बौद्ध धर्म के पतन के बाद इन गुफाओं को मनुष्य ने भुला दिया था और यहां बाघ निवास करने लगे। इसीलिए इन्हें बाघ गुफाओं के नाम से जाना जाता है। बाघ गुफा के कारण ही यहां बसे गांव को बाघ गांव और यहां से बहने वाली नदी को बाघ नदी के नाम से जाना जाता है।
