Fin Garden (Bagh-e Fin) , Kashan, Iran
This delightful garden with its symmetrical proportions, old cedars, spring-fed pools and fountains is renowned as being the very epitome of the Persian garden and its evocation of heaven. The garden flows with crystal-clear warm water channelled from a natural spring through a series of turquoise-tiled pools and fountains and continuing along the main road in jubs (canals).
Don't leave the garden without pausing at the Fin Garden teahouse, which is set within its own enchanted little garden. Located near the source of the spring, the current is thick with warm-water-loving fish and shaded with aged trees.

Fin Garden, Kashan, Iran
Fin Garden, or Bagh-e Fin, located in Kashan, Iran, is a historical Persian garden. It contains Kashan's Fin Bath. It likely dates to the early Safavid era, but its current design began to take shape during the reign of Shah Abbas I (1587-1629) and was restored from 1797-1834 by the Fath Ali Shah Qajar. Although the garden appears lush, the site is surrounded by a largely desert landscape. The water found in the garden originates in the aquifers of the Karkas mountains to the south and is carried by an underground aqueduct called a qanat to a reservoir about 1.5 kilometers from the garden.

Fin Garden, a Historical Persian Garden in Kashan
On a very cold day, we visited Fin Garden, a traditional Persian Garden completed in the late 16th century by Sultan Shah Abbas I of the Safavid Dynasty. It's located in Kashan, in the desert 250km south of Tehran. It was later improved by another sultan of the Qajar Dynasty. The nice thing about Fin is the flowing hot water from a hillside spring several kilometers away, transported underground via a water system called 'qanat', an ancient Persian Invention. Fin Garden is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
