Shree Baglamukhi Mandir, Bankhandi, Kangra, HP || Himachal Darshan ||
It is one of the ancient baglamukhi temple situated in Bankhandi, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is exactly 24 KM before Kangra on Ranital Dehra Road. It is said to be “mahabharat kaleen temple” Every minister or politician visit this temple before elections because Maa Baglamukhi is worshiped to win the enemies. Our saints worshiped ma to win internal enemies ( Lust, Anger, etc) so that they can get self realization. But now most of the people only worship her to win court cases, win in elections etc. Only few knows that she is the supreme power.
Bagalamukhi temple is dedicated to Goddess Bagalamukhi and is situated in the district of Kangra. The temple was set up on 16th May during the auspicious occasion of Navratri by Shri Pitambara Pithadhishwar Yogiraj Youdhishtir Ji Maharaj. Goddess Bagalamukhi has a lot of significance as she is said to be one of the ten Mahavidyas in Hinduism. Bagalamukhi is a name derived from two words- 'Bagala' which means the bride and 'Mukhi' which means faced thereby meaning a face with the power to control.
It is said that yellow is the favorite color of the goddess which is why the temple has been painted yellow in color. All the worshippers of the Goddess wear yellow colored clothes, and yellow sweets are offered to the deity.

Bagalamukhi is derived from Bagala (distortion of the original Sanskrit root valgā) and mukha, meaning bridle and face, respectively. Thus, the name means one whose face has the power to capture or control. She thus represents the hypnotic power of the Goddess. Bagalamukhi has a golden complexion and her dress is yellow. She sits in a golden throne in the midst of an ocean of nectar full of yellow lotuses. A crescent moon adorns her head. Two descriptions of the goddess are found in various texts- The Dwi-Bhuja (two handed), and the Chaturbhuja (Four handed).Bagalamukhi is also called Pitambaradevi or Brahmastra Roopini.
