In this episode, we were on the hunt for some local tuna and kings, but unfortunately that didn't quite work out, so we pulled the pin after hours of trolling and did a bit of bottom bashing.

Southern Bluefin Tuna - Offshore Kayak Fishing Portland, Victoria

Offshore kayak fishing for Southern Bluefin Tuna at Portland, Victoria, Australia.

My first Southern Bluefin Tuna from the kayak. Southern Bluefin Tuna are the pinnacle of offshore kayak fishing in Victoria. This one was caught during the Seasherpa North Shore comp 2017. However, after a 2 hour fight and being dragged 4.5kms I was unable to make it back to the beach in time for weigh-in (despite my best efforts). Nevertheless, at 19.4kgs and 112cm this was an incredible catch for me and I was ecstatic!
