What to Do in Nassau Bahamas on a BUDGET - Junkanoo Beach Bahama Kayak Review
Stopping in Nassau on your Cruise and don't want to spend a ton of money for a beach experience? Check out Junkanoo Beach. You can walk there (about 1 mile) from the cruise port. You don' have to pay anything to use the beach but if you want chairs, water toys, etc. We'd recommend Bahama Kayak. Here's a link to tripadvisor with some options:
My kids enjoyed the beach, the lawn chairs, the aqua bike, and mom & dad enjoyed spending only $100 for the whole family for the whole day (not including food).

Walking Tour of Nassau Beach and Cigar Factory & Winery Tours | Disney Wonder Vlog
We are in Nassau, Bahamas for the first time and we are freestyling! We love to wander and explore on our own the first time in a new port. After a bit of online research, the only place we knew we wanted to go for sure is Junkanoo Beach, so that is our first stop. It is a short walk to the beach – which is a free public beach – just a few blocks from the port. This beach is great as it is large and has a beautiful view… and the front end view of all of those cruise ships isn’t bad either! Unfortunately for us, it was way too windy and a bit chilly so we did not swim. In fact, we were only two of four people total at this beach with four cruise ships in port! We were very surprised by this as we still enjoyed a stroll on the beach and a quick dip of at least our feet in the water.
Time to walk and explore some more! We find a street full of activity and local craftsmanship. All in one spot is a winery, a chocolate factory, and a cigar factory… so of course, we had to sample them all! The most interesting was the cigar factory where we were able to watch the entire rolling process. And Jason had to buy one to test which he really enjoyed. And what a beautiful area!!

Approximately 700 islands, spread over nearly 100,000 square miles of ocean, constitute The Bahamas. The term Out Islands (or Family Islands) refer to all of the islands except New Providence, home to Nassau and Paradise Island, and Grand Bahama, home to Freeport/Lucaya. There are flights to all of the island centers from Nassau. It's also possible to charter a plane, take a high-speed catamaran ferry, or hop aboard a chartered sailboat or motorboat
Home to the Bahamas capital of Nassau and the resort development of Paradise Island, New Providence Island is the most visited Bahamian island, thanks to its international airport and busy cruise ship dock. Freeport/Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island is a popular destination offering excellent golf courses including ones designed by Dick Wilson, Joe Lee and Robert Trent Jones Jr.
