Piratas, fuertes, festivales y mucha comida.

The Bahamas, officially the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, is a country consisting of more than 700 islands, cays, and islets in the Atlantic Ocean; north of Cuba. The designation of Bahamas can refer to either the country or the larger island chain that it shares with the Turks and Caicos Islands. As stated in the mandate/manifesto of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, the Bahamas territory encompasses 470,000 km2 (180,000 sq mi) of ocean space.
Originally inhabited by the Lucayan, a branch of the Arawakan-speaking Taino people, the Bahamas were the site of Columbus' first landfall in the New World in 1492.
Although the Spanish never colonized the Bahamas, they shipped the native Lucayans to slavery in Hispaniola. The islands were mostly deserted from 1513 until 1648, when English colonists from Bermuda settled on the island of Eleuthera.

Explore New Providence Sightseeing Tour / Royal Caribbean Excursion
On the third day of our cruise, we finally docked at the Port of Nassau, then we took the excursion Explore New Providence Sightseeing Tour. We chose this one coz this is the only excursion that could allow us to have another tour the next day before leaving the island. So glad of our decision, it was indeed very interesting and educational as well.
New Providence is the most populous island in The Bahamas, containing more than 70% of the total population. It is the location of the national capital city of Nassau, whose boundaries are coincident with the island. The island was originally under Spanish control following Christopher Columbus's discovery of the New World, but the Spanish government showed little interest in developing the island (and The Bahamas as a whole). Nassau, the island's largest city, was formerly known as Charles-town, but it was burned to the ground by the Spanish in 1684. It was laid out and renamed Nassau in 1695 by Nicholas Trott, the most successful Lord Proprietor, in honor of the Prince of Orange-Nassau who became William III of England.
Video was shot entirely with iPhone 8.

Atlantis Resort Bahamas
( Paradise Island is an island in the Bahamas formerly known as Hog Island. The island is located just off the shore of the city of Nassau, which is itself located on the northern edge of the island of New Providence. It is best known for the sprawling 'Vegas-by-the-sea resort' Atlantis.
Paradise Island is connected to the island of New Providence by two bridges that cross Nassau Harbour. The first was built in 1966 by Resorts International, and the second in the late 1990s.)

Bahamas Atlantis All Inclusive Hotel - A Video Tour!
This video is about Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. [Be sure to check out the snorkelling nearer the end of the video. There's video of lots of sharks going for the camera and actually bumping it].
The hotel is quite an amazing place complete with tons of aquariums so large you can literally walk beside the sharks. There are tubes you can walk through under the tanks and even a water slide that takes you from a pyramid right through a shark infested pool. Definitely an amazing (if expensive!) place!
